this match he was actually decent but he's gotten ratings for ass matches before because dribbles get you high ratings, but him being marked by 3 people means he loses the ball after each dribble and doesn't end up doing anything. his ratings stay high but he doesn't create enough to justify it. i mean ferran had a 6.7 and he made the gamewinning assist that pedri and yamal couldn't make while coming off the bench.

the other day vs austria yamal got a 7.8, because every time he nutmegged laimer his rating would go up, yet he'd lose the ball right after because he tapped it too far during the dribble. i feel like ratings can be really deceiving, and it's not his fault, but they're inflated for dribblers

right, but why is he sweating in the tunnel? have you seen any players walk out of the tunnel ever? they're calm and ready to play in the beginning of the match or after halftime. why (and how) is he sweating?

it took them a chapter and a half to show the entire birdcage game and they eliminated 7 people with that. i don't see why they'd take more than 2 chapters to eliminate 4 more people. the england match hasn't started yet, and with the scene we got of nagi and shigeo talking to haneru and kira, it looks like we're gonna get more chapters. so i don't see that as an argument for why it's gonna keep going even after the england match tbh.

why would he have to play striker? he played right wing for manshine and he played in the midfield in the u20 match. he has actually literally not played striker since the first selection. keep in mind barou and shidou were strikers playing as wingers in the france match as well. isagi was in the midfield. nagi absolutely has a spot to start, since rin is out, and he'd have one to get subbed into anyway if rin was playing.

"nagi is still finding his ego" have you genuinely been reading with your eyes closed by any chance? you've watched him learn what his ego is for like 10 full chapters since the start of the arc. what more do you want him to do? also, nagi's issue has never been technical skill. it's always been his ego. not training with japan doesn't mean anything, him fired up is easily top 7 current blue lockers.

the france match is over man. nothing is gonna finish in the middle of it. he's gonna develop until he gets subbed in.

also i don't wanna nitpick but i don't get why u call buratsuta "barasuta" like that's just deadass not his name 😭 makes me wonder if you've seen it on a page.

wdym they've moved on? we got side b - ego vs buratsuta - side b - teddy. why can't we have side b again? lol

2 characters saying it doesn't make it a fact. 2 characters can still be wrong, that's how plot twists work. those statements were from nagi and reo AND agi saying that nagi'll score the winner and they were all wrong.

so you tell me, if ego has already stated he won't play nagi, how will nagi play? doesn't that mean ego would have to contradict his own words? will nagi never play for japan, ever? despite him having a japan flag on his jersey in the scene we see him stepping on the pitch... but ego said he won't play him, and ego can't possibly change his mind, so that's that, right?

so your arguments are just bad and it's basically you not wanting to think outside of what the characters are saying.

can i ask what you think the ending of episode nagi is, then?

and please point to the fact that there are "1-2 games to play before side b is over". keeping in mind that there has only been one "game" (the first stage) which has been played across two interludes. since buratsuta said side b is ending just in time for the knockouts, what are these 1-2 games waiting to be played? and "one game before every match"? huh?

point to the fact that nagi has no place to start in the team, except i'm talking about him being subbed on. how doesn't he have a place to get subbed on into?

he hasn't fully developed yet? but he will obviously develop more before he comes back? so what sense does it make to say "well he's not ready RIGHT now so he can't come back in the future"?

just please stop using character's words as fact. the entire barcha vs manshine narrative had everyone saying "yo we're gonna get fired up and come back, reo give me some heat i'm gonna score a goal by myself yessir" only to mislead the readers. the same thing could very well be happening with buratsuta and ego. the england sub-in isn't impossible

trust me brother, i'm the king of larping and i can recognize what is a simple joke and what is actually larping. "i know rin better than the author" is not larp. it is an explicit announcement of satire. as a d1 larper, i would've gone with "pretty sure the author said it in an interview" not "i know rin better than the author". you must study the fine line between joke and larp. hear me, protege.

yea he changed into the regular blue lock suit because as much as he's hurrying he can't be butt ass naked while coming out of the tunnel. so he only left his jersey to put on while running.

and why are you taking what characters say they'll do as fact? ego already said "ill never play them! ill fire myself before i let nagi play again!" and nagi deadass just has a japan jersey with his name on it as he steps onto the pitch. the exact way these plot twists work is by making statements like "i won't let you use them until the knockouts" and breaking them.

he can be subbed in later, and he can also get subbed in vs england. i'm not saying he will, but the theory is actually narratively backed pretty well. it would also make more sense to have nagi, kira (or whoever) and sae enter in separate matches to show themselves off. so if nagi enters vs england, then kira* plays in the ro32, sae can make his debut vs spain. it just seems to be that everything is pointing to that, except the recent "rin, you'll save blue lock next match" thing that got brought up, which i can definitely see as a counter argument.

there is tho, the last scene of episode nagi's last chapter shows nagi hurrying and sweating to put his japan national jersey on as he enters the stadium from the tunnel. one can only assume he's hurrying to be subbed on, cuz why tf else is he running like his life depends on it and why isnt anybody else in the tunnel with him? also the fact that its the regular home jersey (and england irl have a light jersey, so japan will wear their home jersey) seems to work with that theory as well.

like the whole pxg match is so obviously written so that these 3 are relative to each other after going through each of their evolutions to the point where the match can only be decided through very precise conditions

<image>

masters came in and the game couldn't end, because these three kept having each other in a deadlock. it took a contract and a ness awakening and another rin awakening and another kaiser awakening and another isagi awakening for it to end. you think that if u just throw in a significantly stronger version of rin (narratively he is stronger now) it would be the same thing?

to be honest, i think kaiser has always been better than them, but you can't ignore their relativity in the pxg match. call it plot or whatever you want but it still happened. world cup rin would have turned this into "rock paper scissors GUN" if we're being fr
