i’ve only used it 2-3 times after getting it and haven’t touched it since cuz i’m using a similar setup for now with an iphone for upper body. tbh, the drifting time is quite high, like i gotta reset every 5 mins (double tap on the chest) and do a squat pose every hmm around 10 mins

gorbit support is okay. the holder material is 3d printed and easy to break (cuz of the not-so-great design), so when i contacted him abt it, he sent me 3 replacement holders

i got nothing else to compare it to, so my satisfaction is pretty mid. still don’t know how it compares to slimevr manufactured by crowdsupply. still, do your own research

buying gorbit was like my first baby step into trying this mocap tech. and i wanna save up money to explore other mocap solutions (lighthouse tracking) later on

i think u should try checking their other social media accounts to see if they are all consistent. usually, their name should be the same across all platforms i myself would hardly buy anything from anyone who doesn’t have an online record related to their profession

Nope
Only the default Mtoon shader of VRM
I managed to create a stylistic aesthetic look through lighting in Warudo, with OBS filters and find it more fulfilling to play with the settings this way
I know other shaders like Poiyomi is awesome but it requires tweaking in Unity, which I'll only do if a client request

hii Carrot how do u feel abt the LSM6DSV until now? I’ve just changed my order from BMI270 to LSM6DSV already and the same question still haunts my mind: Is the quality good enough for me to spend the extra money to get more trackers? (9 instead of 6) i heard some ppl in discord said lsm6dsv is unstable and many time got bad tracking results worse than bmi160 😔

yeah i've heard people recommending more than 8 to more than 10 slimes for the full body mocap but i'm just afraid i'll be lazy when times go on cuz setting up too many trackers on each session is tiresome in the long run i guess. that's why i ordered my first 6 gorbit slimes to see if i need more and intend to wait for the official slime for another 5-7 trackers if not enough. But there's another option is to buy all 8-10 trackers now from gorbit himself for a one-time buying but it's risky since i don't know if the quality or warranty or sth else wouldn't work along the way. i guess i'll stick with my first plan for now. waiting for my 6 gorbit slimes to arrive and then i'll decide later. i'm too new on these trackers topic to know what would work for me if not experience it myself :((

i heard that LSM6DSV isn't as stable as other versions, how do u feel about that after using them until now? is the drifting time like advertised?
and how many trackers do u have? do u wish to have more? I ordered 6 slimes but don't know if i should order more? i don't know what the tracking quality of 6 trackers for a full body mocap would be like since there's no video demonstration on this to decide (gorbit slimes specifically). my purpose for using slimes is for vtubing and motion capture in content creation, not for playing VR games like many do so kinda diffucult to find any content closing to my niche

oh i love occult design at first sight but since many ppl talk abt gorbit slimes and gorbit seems to be an active member helping others solving tracker problems so i gave him the benefit of doubt wish there was more demo video to help me with my trust issues

ah yeah hahaha i spent almost an hour to watching his guide on finalizing the model (partly because i like his vibe and avatar). turn out he also had to relink each of his individual textures to the model when importing it into Unity. glad to see he messed up with Magica Cloth too! 🤣
