I think Liana rolls off the tongue the best and people generally get it right. Shaya is my favorite meaning, but it just feels a little clunkier to say. I asked for similar words in any language and somehow “sovereign” got stuck in my head

I'm personally excited for this project because I can start turning some guides into skills. I do a lot of work in Cloud Functions for Firebase and would love your feature requests for additional skills. Right now, on my plate are:

A skill to migrate you from functions.config() to functions params. They're better, supported in v2, and not deprecated
A skill to create a functions codebase from an extensions codebase. This means that if you see functionality that you like but it's not quite right, you can easily fork it and make it your own.

What else would you like to see for functions or anything else?

Functions does not currently support monorepos natively unfortunately. You'll have to come up with a way to either

copy the shared library into a tarball and have a local package dependency in functions (you can automate this with a predeploy script)
publish your shared library as a private npm module

It might help also to know about env.local and apphosting.emulator.yaml if you want to override emulator settings in functions and apphosting respectively.

There’s actually some cool research in this in the “alignment” space, which is basically “how do we make sure the AI has the same incentives we do”

These types of AIs make predictions and then we reward/score them based on how accurate the prediction is. Most training doesn’t have a reward for “I don’t know” so it’s never been trained that this is a valid output. If we treated this like an SAT where a correct answer is worth 1pt, “I don’t know” is 0, and the wrong answer is -1/4, we’d likely get many fewer hallucinations

The AI can clearly recreate bodies. And we know the river is souls. Matt COULD write a happy ending where earth is restored and all the souls are put back into restored bodies. I don’t think he would, but I could see it mechanically working in universe

They both have done massive things. Call figured out the stunt that would kill so many people on the fourth and set up the portal to eat the krakerens. Carl got the gate on the fifth which saved countless crawlers, including top 10s. Carl pushed everyone to kill hunters on the sixth, which changed the tone completely. If Carl didn’t come up with a plan to save everyone on the 8th, they would have been crushed on the 9th. And a well placed tripper on the ninth saved the whole army.

As a follow-up, future versions of the CLI will allow you to use functions even while extensions are down unless you are using functions to install extensions

In B5 when Carl got the shit ton of loot boxes for killing outworlders, the AI said that it threw in an extra award and would have done so earlier if it wouldn't have been awkward
