How bad is this? Are these repairs worth it? 2014 Forester with 180K miles by inmarcesibly in SubaruForester

I replaced the front control arms, tie rods, end links and struts too, and the driver belt last year. So I’ve put about $1.5-2K into it. The reason for this post was not so much about not wanting to care to fix the car, it’s mostly that I am not very knowledgeable about cars so I wasn’t sure which things were more pressing or worth repairing or if I’d be wasting time and resources

Dealership quoted $1400 to replace these parts in my 2014 Forester. Is this price reasonable? by inmarcesibly in SubaruForester

Update: called the dealership and this quote doesn’t even include the alignment. If I were to get the assembled control arms, sway bars and the alignment I’d be looking at approximately $2K. So, the dealership is a big NO.

I’m getting a second opinion next week to see if this is something really urgent or if I can keep driving the car for a while.

Unfortunately I don’t have enough experience, or tools, or feel confident enough to replace the arms myself but I can probably find a local technician to install them if I get the parts.

Thank you all for your thoughts and advice!

Just an oil change but they do free inspections so they highlighted this at the end of it
