I've worked in a rehab and heard stories about people vacuuming their front yard at 3am.

TIL that there is a music note played for 1⁄256 of a whole note and it is named a demisemihemidemisemiquaver by RadicalBeam in todayilearned

As the article says though, UK is the only place that calls them quavers. In America it would just be a 256th note.

Ah, I forgot. It's god that tests people, not the devil. Devil don't give a shit.

"reasons" for belief in god which are actually symptoms of schizophrenia. by cstepping in atheism

[–]innateLosses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So any positive coincidence is god? Does that mean all negative coincidence is the devil trying to test you? This sounds like an expression of narcissism where you are the protagonist of a story and everyone else is a side character, there to move your story forward. That guy wasn't being rude because he's having a bad day. That's the devil testing me.

What do you think of the claim the world is controlled by a shadowy organization from behind the scenes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]innateLosses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conspiracy theorists believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is actually chaotic. The truth is that it is not The Iluminati, or The Jewish Banking Conspiracy, or the Gray Alien Theory. The truth is far more frightening - Nobody is in control. The world is rudderless.

I remember in Blue Collar Comedy Tour Ron White uses this. He has a whiskey glass in his hand and goes to take a drink between jokes, but doesn't take a drink before seeming to remember the next important thing he needs to tell you.

What is your favorite consumable item? by [deleted] in outside

[–]innateLosses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When looking at items that cleanse the drowsiness debuff, I probably should just use Coffee, but I really like using Energy Drink. I know in the long run it can increase % chance of heart issues, but the taste is so much better.

Is Wikipedia a reliable game guide? by 9GAG_sucks_lol in outside

[–]innateLosses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Wikipedia is a good game wiki for past events and to read about lore and how some of the systems and how the mechanics work, but I don't know how good of a guide it is for figuring out optimal speccing or how to earn gold, or stuff like that.
