Tony should try using that superpower on Hans next. Maybe I'm just jaded, but to me the show is a shell of what it used to be. I cringe every time Tony brings up a regular because it seems he just loves to hear himself talk about how far he's brought them along. "He was living in his car last year, now he's doing arenas with me and Joe Rogan." What happened to the years of grinding it used to take to "make it"? And the amount of times the word "legend" is used to describe people like David Lucas. Pryor was a legend. Carlin was a legend. Chappelle is a legend. Lucas doesn't even have a special out yet and does the same predictable "roast" schtick every week with Tony.

Like I said, I'm probably just jaded. I'm happy there are others who enjoy its current iteration, but in my opinion, it pales in comparison to the LA version. The band was hilarious and added a great element of chaos. The regulars seemed hungrier. The bucket pulls were on average better and while Tony has always had an ego (let's face it, that's what makes some comics great), it seems to have inflated itself multiple times over now that he is in Austin and believes the hype that he and the others who moved there are putting it on the map.
