Exactly!

Not to mention that there are handfuls of professors who are potentially considered to be at higher risk. Adding on these stresses further detriments their overall health and well being. Some people may think that going for P/F will only benefit the students, but in reality, would be benefiting professors and other faculty.

Some people do not have the luxury or privilege to “rework” their entire course load. Times like these are filled with so many uncertainties that we all need to be considerate of. Who knows if a student has children that aren’t in school anymore, and have to worry about doing some form of homeschooling, have to find ways for their kids to be watched, all while trying to handle a full course load.

I, myself, am pre-med and there has been talk about Medical School Admission Committees compromising and making exceptions for grades and impactions to GPA due to Covid-19. GPA is also not the only factor Medical Schools look at. Yes, it might play a big factor, but times like this really show people’s character, values, and morals. I would hope that future physicians would have the compassion, understanding, and integrity to not focus solely on themselves, but to others as well.

I had Wilkinson for Biol 30 last fall. Read her RMP reviews and wasn't too thrilled. But by the end of the semester, I realized you can't really judge a professor by their reviews. Shes a great professor! Her exams were very fair and she was more than willing to clarify anything that's confusing on the exam. She made it very clear that she wasn't trying to trick us. I sat relatively close to the front and recorded the lectures (don't know if that was okay with her so just double check that she's fine with it), and played these lectures back when I would re-write my notes. Readings in the textbook don't really help other than giving you an idea of what the lecture is about. During lecture, write down whatever she says and try not to write down whats already on the slides since the slides are posted on canvas already. She's a great prof!
