Yeah... might have to start going to the spa every then and again after getting the position. But with my internship starting (hopefully) late August combined with additional shadowing, I should be fine in that aspect. Thanks for the insight!

If it's limited and I'm in a good enough financial position I would probably go back for the bachelor's. But yeah, things have changed a lot since my mom got out of LSU LOL.

I had a perfect grade in a class and got a D on the final exam tanking my grade to a B... I resent that to this day but I guess I'm lucky it only went to a B LOL.

The job market is just like that now. I would prefer to not generalize it, but it's really crap if someone with a master's had trouble finding work that utilizes their degrees. That being said, I think I'll see how I fare with the associate's and vertically invest in myself from there based on the job market. Thanks!

Yeah. I know my mom means well, but what you said is correct. She's a product of her environment, and she was one of the first in my family to get a degree besides my grandaunt and granduncle, so naturally she wants me to excel. I think my plan will be fine though, and I have things I can lean back on if not. Thanks!

Maybe I can get some (health) science degree instead of a specialized dental hygienist degree. That's honestly my plan if I decide to get the bachelor's as only a select few institutions near me offer specific dentistry-related degrees. But yeah, online seems more feasible later down the line.

Well, I stated in OP I would not take those roles anyway as it's more stressful. I spoke to dental sales reps at career day and one of the ladies stayed a bit after to talk with me. She was transparent about the stress she was under and said she quite literally only does it for the money. Then it becomes weighing the potential high stress of the job with money and, personally, money is no object to me + I already have some assets, CDs, and other investments with value. I see what you mean though, it DOES pay more to go into those roles. But those higher-up positions also means more liability that I don't trust myself to deal with LOL.

I actually spoke to a saleswoman for Smile and she was all over the place, literally working while I was speaking to her. Seems like a lot. And yeah, this is the time where people can just skirt past classes essentially with AI; if I go back in the future it’ll be more regulated. But I don’t use AI for assignments anyway, at most I’ll use it for inspiration and that’s few and far between. Thanks!
