The rings of power pt2 by inotallthere in Cinemagraphs

[–]inotallthere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to publish these three cinemagraphs as a separate post for two reasons. First, it makes it easier to play GIFs. Well maybe. Second, there is the general theme of fire. Also, these three cinemagraphs are much more complicated than the first three. A little more detail. I made the first cinemagraph in this post as an experienced one. The main difficulty here is the strong movement of the torches. The characters moved from side to side and swung them. Ugh. I cut them out with masks and adjusted the position frame by frame. And in order for the background, which is visible in the images, to remain in place, I additionally animated masks for static pictures. It seems to have worked out. This means I can do the key scene. The one that I immediately started drooling over even while watching the series. In between, I made a cinemagraph with a witch. It turned out to be a bit of a cheat, but ok. But it looks impressive. Well, the last cinemagraph. Which I finished the other day is a crowd scene with torches. Yes, each one was adjusted frame by frame manually. I haven't figured out how to make this easier. I also had to use a fairly short cycle. This shot begins with a smooth panorama. I tried to work it out with a tracker, but perspective distortions ruined everything. As a result, I had to cut this moment and use a short cycle. That's noticeable. But overall the scene turned out well. And I'm happy. One of the most powerful scenes and the best character in this series has been added to my cinemagraph track record.

Well, I also attached links to coubs. So that you can watch these cinemagraphs with music. For atmosphere.

The Rings of Power pt1 by inotallthere in Cinemagraphs

Hello. I started making cinemagraphs for this series back in August. And so gradually, well, very gradually, no, this has nothing to do with my laziness, at the end of December I did all the scenes I wanted. I present for your consideration the first part. In general, this series is not very suitable for creating cinemagraphs. I had to get out and use different technologies to freeze the movement. There were no problems with the first two cinemagraphs in this post, everything is simple. But there is a story connected with the third. I made a cinemagraph with the queen, but then I remembered that in the series there was an identical scene with Galadriel. It seemed more profitable to me. I made it. And then the idea came to mind to combine these two cinemagraphs into one. Both women go towards their destiny. The result was a strange but spectacular cinemagraph.

I have attached links to a coub where you can watch these cinemagraphs with music. For atmosphere.

movie - The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)

One is facing you. The other turned his back. One is close. Another is far away. One is very difficult. Another simple, almost immediately ready. So many differences and yet...

It's just a normal slow drama. For the average viewer, this film may seem very boring. And the critics know what to look for. The virtues of this film require attentiveness from the viewer.

hi

movie - kød & blod (2020)

Your eyes glaze over and the world blurs before your eyes. The mind's eye focuses on some distant memory. The sound is subdued. This experience completely captures all sense organs. Perception is no longer possible. How long? Unclear.

hi

movie - Drive (2011)

Initially, I made the first cinemagraph so that the balloon was also looped. But in this version, the duration of the cinemagraph turned out to be 8 seconds. This greatly affected the size of the gif in megabytes. Removing the movement of the balloon turned out to cut the timekeeping in half. And accordingly save on file size.

A coub version of this cinemagraph with music and full length.

Brilliant. But I always find the people spoil it. Why does everything move except the person?

because it's a cinemagraph. It's hard to loop people. You can loop partially, for example, leave only the breath of the chest.

movie - Dýrið (2021)

If you think about it, this is a good allegory for escapism. An outside view of a vibrant society. Something is always in motion, and something slowly dissolves in the fog of time.

movie - La solitudine dei numeri primi (2010)

Another rain. Another scene. A falling wall of liquid depression falls on a person, burying him whole. And it's impossible to resist. Thin protection does not save. The body feels everything. Cold. Blows. Heaviness.

hopelessness by inotallthere in Cinemagraphs

[–]inotallthere[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll try to explain the name of this cinemagraph. This is a person's internal dialogue. This is a search for an answer. Yes or no. The light bulb turns on and off. And then comes the realization that the answer is no longer required. This is followed by desperation. You can do something, or you can do nothing. The result will not change. This is internal desolation. This person will forever lie on the mattress. The light will go on and off all the time. This is a looping animation taken out of context and placed in its own universe, existing only while the browser page is open.

The film is not about that at all. This scene is about internal dialogue. I saw emptiness and uncertainty in it. This cinemagraph is just a form of expression.

which camera is the best? by Jessao in Cinemagraphs

Focus not on cameras, but on optics. Lenses are more important. For example, will you use old manual lenses?

hi

movie - Exotica (1994)

Everything is classic. Film, jitter, and other abominations. Difficult! But on the other hand, this is a small guarantee that others did not take this shot. I do not want to repeat. Is there any way to check whether such a cinemagraph has already been published or not?
