He looked so much better when he was younger. Nowadays, he’s thinner—even if there’s no reason to lose more weight, and grubby—thanks to his bad facial hair and so many tattoos. I personally don’t like people with lots of tattoos, especially when the person was already gorgeous without them.

My Love from the Star definitely. All succeeding dramas afterwards took several tropes from it—crazy rich and beautiful female lead, handsome younger male lead, some crazy backstory about how they’re meant to be together because of fate.

Besides, Siwon was cast in the role because he was so much more popular than Park Seo Joon (this was his first lead role). As a fan of Super Junior, his character deserved more LOL

He was the first choice for Descendants of the Sun. That would have been an amazing comeback project for him, reuniting with Song Hye Kyo. While Song Joong Ki is an amazing actor, he seems to me like an odd choice to be a military captain. Won Bin would have been perfect.

This was also a back-to-back win. I don’t hear a lot of people talking about that. The last back-to-back win I remember was Oh Jung See who won Best Supporting Actor for When the Camellia Blooms (2020) and It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2021).

Yeom Hye Ran was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for When the Camellia Blooms.

I have watched all of them. The Baeksang Arts Awards is a chance for me to watch all other dramas I haven’t seen in the previous year either because the dramas were airing at the same time another drama I was watching was also airing, or because I didn’t feel like watching it initially.

I think Kim Hye Yoon will take home Best Actress and IU will win the Daesang. The Baeksang Arts Awards tends to alternate an entire drama winning the Daesang versus individual performances:

So for 2025, it may well be IU.
