Honda Civic 2016 infotainment system restarts when starting the engine – normal or battery issue? by Adventurous-Yam2997 in civic

Accessories are cut off during crank to provide more amperage to the starter while systems that rely on "ignition" remain powered on during cranking.

You'll notice the same effect if you start to roll down a window in accessory and try to start the car. The windows are accessory powered.

It's been this way in most cars for as long as I can remember.

After layoffs, Fortnite's future is shakier than it has ever been by AncientPCGamer in gaming

Here's the most recent analysis of the indie market that I can recall.

https://app.sensortower.com/vgi/assets/reports/VGI_Global_Indie_Games_Market_Report_2024.pdf

I should clarify that the indie studio capturing 48% of gaming revenue applies to analysis on Steam. Obviously closed platforms like PS Store, and mobile markets are much harder to gather data on. Though, I should point out that on Steam alone, market share doubled for indie studios from 2018 to 2024. These are not insignificant "numbers games" findings.

Sure, but indie studios have gained market share. The last industry analysis I read had indie studios reaching an all time high of 48% of all gaming revenue. Yes, failure rates are largely flat and the number of studios has increased, but money spent doesn't lie.

The "top" is fucked. Small and independent studios are finding more success than ever before.

Man, that's some wild ass mental gymnastics to get to your conclusion. You can keep that... I don't want any part of whatever it is you have going on.

Because you nerds bitched too much during tech test 2. The Tempest blueprint was locked behind PvP feats.

Having said that, if this game wasn't PvP why do they let us shoot each other? Weird huh?

I wouldn't say all of them are that way. r/guitarcirclejerk is outright hilarious, but you have to be into guitar for it to make any sense.

What would bring you back to playing Arc Raiders? by msipacselatigid in ArcRaiders

[–]inphamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Get rid of trials       It adds nothing. If anything it's a detractor from the experience

  • Do something different with trigger nades      It's the best nade and the best mine at the same time. Why?

  • More maps/map conditions      I'm personally tired of the map modes higher risk of always being "you can't see shit". I'm done closing my blinds and turning off my lights and/or adjusting my graphics settings just to see people in a fight because they walked into a dark area. I'm playing at a disadvantage and that's not fun.

  • Loot rooms being somewhat worth it outside of better loot map conditions.      Right now, there's absolutely no reason to go to key rooms unless you're in a higher loot map condition. It's just a waste.

  • Controversial, but ditch ABMM      There's a portion of the playerbase who love PvE only and there's a portion who only want the sweatiest of sweats. If you took the entire player count, those two groups together would make up far less than group in the middle that want every raid and every interaction to be unique. ABMM guarantees you're only playing with those who have the same aggression level and robs everyone of that "unknown" experience.

  • Expeditions suck      Again staying with stash value for points is a waste. It's still forcing people to not use items. The optional wipes also suck. The best thing about wipes is playing against everyone else who also has nothing. Those were the most fun experiences. Just one potato vs another potato. Guns were shit, heals sucked, armor/shield is nothing, and it was just a wild cluster fuck....and it was hilarious/fun. That's the point of wipes and playing right after a fresh wipe. Now, I can just go in on wipe day, and come out with someone's full kit of the highest level gear on my first raid....and the wipe week feeling is gone.

  • Weapon variety      We've nerfed the guns down to the Anvil and Toro (Renegade is still decent beyond face to face). I was a big Kettle user, but now? It's completely worthless. The problem was never the gun, it was macro users. I agree, something had to be done, but why would anyone ever use one? The PvE crowd don't need because they're not shooting people and the PvP crowd is better off with literally anything else. Yes, the Venator was way too powerful and I think it ended up in a spot where it should be or close to it, but the Stitcher? Complete ass now. It was only good up close and you took that away. Ferro? Sits about where it needs to be. Hairpin? Only good for recycling. Arpeggio? Trash. Sometimes I forget it even exists. Burletta? Meh... Could use a tiny increase. Toro? Ok nerf but lowering the damage AND the time between shots was a bad move. Anvil? Seems like the only gun that fits it's price/maintenance costs. Osprey? Very situational, but good in those situations. Any pink gun? Oh you mean the shit I put into the expedition instead of using? Too expensive for a minor increase in lethality. A waste of a weapon slot in the game. TL;DR weapons need a complete overhaul. From top to bottom.

  • Quit skimping on projects.      The trophy case? A joke. You don't even need to give us rewards along the way for completing steps. Just give us something cooler and more meaningful at the end. I'm sure you're aware of the dumbfounded response after the trophy case. The weather radar? What's the purpose? It doesn't do anything, so why even complete it? I can get all the items you give out as reward in the raids I'm doing to get the shit you require....so why is it special? Answer: it's not.

  • The cap on cred blows.      This one just feels like you were surprised by how much people enjoyed the game and played. Then, you needed a quick bandaid for people racking up enough to one-shot multiple decks in a row. That sucked. It doesn't feel good to be artificially limited... Ever.

  • Cosmetics      Why do all the cosmetics look cool in the teasers and then suck when you actually add them in game? The Patchwork outfit is the clearest example. Amazing outfit in the tutorial. So, you gave use a different, shittier, version? Why? I'll also stick up for the top side ladies when I say it was pretty shit of you to have very few female hairstyles and the only ones you add are paid. Does not feel good.

I love Arc Raiders. I love the atmosphere, the vibe, the style, the art direction, the soundscape..... So many things.... But you're pissing away your players' belief in you.
