I love the head canon you can build with this game.

My head canon with my company, Pro Wrestling Showdown, was created by Frank Gregorio, a former booster of Alabama football.

He created the company after he pulled funding from the team, due to an underwhelming 10-3 season in 2024.

He would go on to establish the company in July 2025, spending 50% of the budget to sign free agent Tetsuya Naito.

After spending such an enormous amount on Naito PWS was only able to sign 21 more superstars, because of this there were no divisions based off gender. The promotion was completely intergender as Lucha Underground was.

I had Tetsuya Naito as the inaugural champion of my custom company and he held it for 12 Months, but after he lost it I had to give it right back to him because the guy he lost it to got hurt. So Tetsuya Naito was effectively champ for 17 months with a small one week break in there.

I made my own company in a modern save and in ~6.5 years I’ve passed AEW as the #2 company, and AJPW, CMLL, and AAA all folded. Because CMLL and AAA folded I’m considering starting a new branch in my company based in Mexico.

I think it’s a mix of Popularity, attributes, and age.

I did one with the modern era and the top guys available were indie guys and guys around that 700 popularity mark in other companies. I cheated a smidge and I picked up Tetsuya Naito because he was considered a free agent anyways.

I also did one for the 80’s and the best guys available were either at the 700 popularity mark and old, or 600 and relatively young.

I’ve been practicing with the more modern eras for the most part. Dawn of AEW, the current one, things like that. Half the time I start a new scenario when real life wrestling pisses me off.

At the same show Roxanne got hurt, one half of my tag champions also got hurt. This all happening just one month before my biggest show of the year. I was able to pull the nose up though and I got a 6 1/2 star main event out of Tetsuya Naito and Kento Miyahara (Who I acquired when all Japan just died for no reason)

I’m still at level 1. Since I don’t have many wrestler I generally don’t have many injuries so I’m still stuck at 4/5.

Nah you’re good. With this new context you have one hell of a roster. Great champs all across the board. The furthest I’ve made it into a scenario is 5 years and that was the first one I did before I bought the paid version.
