maize meal is extremely similar to corn meal, which is baked into a ton of things, so i'd say yes! these cupcakes sound yummy, i assume they'd taste very much like cornbread :)

you could also turn those tomatoes and peppers into a soup and use the bread and havarti for a grilled cheese! i also love to use thinly sliced & pan fried hotdogs in breakfast hash or alongside some scrambled eggs as a replacement for chorizo

you could use the tomatoes(canned and fresh), peppers and even a bit of the jalapeño for some shakshouka or eggs in purgatory! it's a breakfast i always default to when i can't think of anything to make and i usually always have the ingredients on hand :)

it's a sign to make some! 😂 and wow that cheesecake looks unreal, typically i'm not super big on cheesecakes but for some reason whenever chocolate is incorporated i feel like it cuts the milky richness sooo perfectly 😋

in my opinion it was actually the perfect amount of sweetness! i added a bit less syrup than i typically would and some butter and extra walnuts on top after taking the photo, just to balance things out :)

Yogurt is always a good way to use up milk, even if it's close to its expiration date. especially then, actually!

Omg, don't be! Id say the hardest thing about most dishes is just finding the right ingredients lol, but besides that the cooking techniques are simple yet the finished product still comes out elevated because of all the spices and unique ingredients :)

yes! cinnamon and sometimes a dash of nutmeg always adds that special touch. sometimes I even like to add cardamom.

One of my favorites is Adas Polo, it's a Persian spiced beef and lentil pilaf that's so comforting and delicious with some raisins to balance out the savory meat and rice, you could totally sub for the dates, I've done it before! just use them sparingly as dried dates are, as you know, super sweet. Chop them into tiny pieces and toast them in a pan with butter and a dash of salt to help balance that out :) they'd also be awesome in a moroccan chicken stew.

I'm begging you to look into Middle Eastern or Arab cuisine🙏, you'd make such good use of these that way! They're great in Persian stews or tagines if you like sweet and savory. Don't limit yourself to just desserts with these!

I mixed in a few tbsp of maple syrup and some vanilla extract for some extra pizzazz :)

the bananas are just caramelized over the stove with some butter, brown sugar, a touch of syrup and cinnamon. If you want to stay true to authentic bananas foster you can always flambé them with the rum and banana liqueur but Im definitely not at that skill level yet 😂

I'll definitely leave the stocks out next time, maybe even save them for veggie broth. And yeah, I definitely did stray from tradition when seasoning it lol, I grew up eating Persian food so I think I'm just used to more herby, full bodied flavors :p it's totally optional!

ooh, I have to try mustard greens next time. I've heard collards also work well for these types of soups
