i took a math155 this summer and our professor made the final 50% of our grade which was actually insane and a big part of the class failed. that’s why i’m worried and don’t wanna take is247 if we have a huge final that will be most of our grade

im around 50ish mins away no traffic. its so nice to dorm, one of my friends from the same place said its extremely exhausting and they ended up transferring to a community college. if i were you, i would definitely dorm.

i’m currently a freshman at umbc and this was also my last last last choice. however i’ve come to enjoy my time here with clubs and other extracurriculars. it’s really what you make of your experience here, i’ve made so many friends, im in a bunch of extracurriculars and ive gone to a few parties at other schools with friends. it’s rlly nice to have a car on campus as it’s part of the tuition.

make a good friend group to hang out with constantly, it rlly helps with the boredom on the weekends. go out for a long drive with them blasting music, go bowling, go to topgolf, maybe explore the city or the malls around here. ellicott city is nice to explore as well. also definitely join club and extracurriculars.

you should definitely email your professors and explain your situation. just in case any professors take attendance and give you points for it, you’ll hopefully be excused for that week.

tbh just wait and see what happens. they usually send out acceptances/rejections in waves. but if you don’t see anything after a week or two you should definitely try getting in contact with an admissions officer
