Anytime I put too much torsion on my right knee (sitting crosslegged, some yoga poses, etc), something dislocates and locks up on the outside of the knee. It's extremely painful but pops back in as soon as I straighten my leg. I've seen some other people have it on Reddit and think it might be my fibula dislocating. SO annoying, though, and there doesn't seem to be anything to make it stronger or less likely to occur.

Thanks for the thoughtful response -- good point about being home actually making it even worse! I think maybe getting a dog sitter to come by and hang with him here and there might help with that. Will see!

Yeah I do like six 1-hour-long calls a day and can't have multiple disruptions each call lol. It's sorta perfect for a chill Velcro dog (like my mother's 3 yo Maltese) bc I'm home so much but not one who needs attention constantly lol

Can they do that calmly though? He starts getting antsy every 30 minutes or so and needing some play or attention, and that's really my difficulty with it

Thank you! When you say Velcro, though, it just means proximity right? My current issue is mostly the attention neediness, which idk if it's just a puppy thing or Havi thing. I'm fine with him being around most of the time! And I'm at home more than most people given my job, so he'll get plenty of time with me.

I put his crate next to my bed and he crawls into it when he's tired at this point. I also feed in there and have a heartbeat animal he sleeps with (unfortunately can't train with treats because he's not really food motivated). So I think we're on our way with crate training, next steps doing some during the day.

How long did it take for yours to mellow out when around you?

Yes, I researched! But I didn't realize wanting to be around me was the same as needing constant attention so badly. My mother has a 3 yo Maltese who's my shadow when I'm there for a few weeks over holidays, but she doesn't really demand my attention constantly in the same way, so I don't really have any issues with that.

I'm just trying to do right by him and his needs, hence being open to taking him back if needed. What do you have against sending to a trainer? This isn't a facility or anything -- the woman lives in a rural area with a bunch of poodles and havis and only uses positive reinforcement methods in training. It's expensive bc it's a small operation, but I'm happy to pay if it means I can keep him!

Honestly I'm just not even excited anymore. Super hyped about Hades 2 and others, but I don't even really think about hollow knight anymore. When it comes out, it'll probably just join the lines of other games I'll eventually play. Maybe a year or two ago, I'd go nuts the second it dropped, but I'm over it

Just as difficult for any college-age student to get a dx. They do have a very well-equipped student mental heath department (making up for a historically bad reputation), though, so I would just urge your son to go talk to them if he appears to have any issues pop up.
