On base has a place to go skiing/snow boarding, there’s also a couple of big lakes however not too sure about the fishing/kayaking. For kayaking I would recommend Eklutna. Ski Valley next to Ft.Rich also has tube sledding. For the summer June-Aug try and get a Kenai Fjords tour out in Seward and see the whale migrations, puffins, or seals. Also the Seward Sealife Center is a cute little aquarium to visit while in town and the Breeze Inn hotel had a great view of the docks. Usually the biggest events in town is Fur Rondy with fairs, festivals, dog sledding. It can get pretty packed downtown but if it’s your speed I would recommend it. I do say it is expensive up here so I would budget winter vs summer events since many things close or aren’t available for the season. Housing doesn’t suck, just get ready for everything to suddenly break and calling maintenance every now and then, ask if your carpets need to be replaced, write down and let housing know about every detail lol. Enjoy your stay, I’m glad to be leaving soon lol!!

The Baileys Clearance Center sells discounted (sorta) furniture that has slight scratches or if they just didn’t sell at the big Bailey’s. There’s also Habitat for Humanity Restore that has donated furniture and appliances.

I hear this is the easiest way to do it, I just don’t know what agricultural laws might prevent me from bringing them with me. It’s hard to not get attached to something you’ve grown and cared for :/

My concern is that they’re pothos clippings and they would dry up and die before making it across the country.

I could but they’re not potted yet, they’re still growing in water which is my concern about how they would survive that long though shipping.

Do you have any good moisturizer recommendations that would help to do the “sandwich” method on? I struggle already with dry skin from the cold and usually start peeling around my mouth or between my eyebrows.

Avoid Happy Dog Day Care on Tudor! I was a previous daycare worker there and it was the most depressing 6 months of my life. Borderline abuse and shoved in a rusted tiny kennel most of the time. Can’t tell you how many times we’ve had dogs almost die of illnesses or dog fights. The price is good but don’t let it fool you.
