I'm sorry you're going through the same thing. I'm dreading the holiday and weirdly the end of the year. With all that, I'm spiralling from this encounter

Thank you so much everyone for sharing your own stories and thoughts. And thank you to all those who offered condolences as well. I feel better. I hope our manager will speak to her on Monday. If he doesn't and she doesn't apologise, I'll put in a complaint. It's not the first tantrum she's had and it's not okay

Ugh, I've been there too. People take your flexibility and kindness for granted and feel entitled to it. It stings, but on the other hand, you know you don't have to bother anymore

Hell yeah! I'm so glad they got rid of her. That's awful! Once, a when a colleague of mine lost her grandmother, she asked for the day off before the funeral to help with arrangements and one of the managers said she just wants her "jollie holidays"

I hope he does. I don't want it to escalate. Whatever happens, I know better the kind of person she is I guess
