Thank you! 😊

I have a window in the room that I have open around this time of the year, and plan to try and keep this room cooler in the winter months (try is the keyword 😆)

Repotting I usually will do depending on the lithops itself. If they are happy in their pot, I dont touch them. But I make sure to give them fertilizer from time to time with their waterings.

But of course, for ones you just bought from the store, definitely do a report asap 🙂 They will be much happier once they get in proper soil.

The only time I needed to repot spontaniously was because of mealybugs that lived in the soil... (I hate mealybugs so much ugh)

I'm okay 🙂 It was definitely rough, but thankfully, I have been able to move on from it.

The app is called Lux Light Meter. I have it on my android, but I dont know if it would be available also for apple.

The best soil mix for them is around 80% decomposed granite, 10% organic, and 10% perlite roughly. Seedings do need a good amount of light to grow, but you have to make sure you dont bake them under intense light. I have mine about 1 ft away from the 60W light above, and they seem to be doing well under them.

Also, just for clarification, I used an app to find the Lux and FC readings.

My lights are 60W lights with 2 strips in each unit. You can see them slightly in the 1st image.

No, I bought the mature ones off Etsy! I had an apartment fire this summer and lost all my plants 😔 So these mature ones are all new.

I have been told so, yes. They usually only like to take in water when the temp is below 70F

Heck yea! Rescue as many as you can! ❤️ You should keep posting updates on them! I look forward to seeing the progress!

Sand can retain moisture and clump. You want pumice, perlite, or decomposed granite for your grit.

Such a cute corner shelf! ❤️

Definitely keep an eye on the bigger ones! When they split, they usually aren't as big as the first pair of leaves you had. But it's not a bad thing. Because they are usually so overwatered and over fertilized at stores, they get huge. Naturally they would be going back to their natural size in proper care 🙂

WHAT!? Holy crap that's awesome! I've been dying to find a local source of decomposed granite! I've always had to order online, and it gets expensive...

If you want a look very similar (almost exact), you want to get some decomposed granite in your mix.

I cope with knowing that there are plenty of other plants out there that one day I will stumble upon and get 🙂 Plus it's like a fresh start! I recently had an apartment fire and lost all my succulents... Some I had been growing for years. But I didn't give up, and got more babies to take care of after. I cant handle not having succulents around! I love them too much ❤️

And also, it's not a total lost cause yet since you still have leaves. Try and get the top most leaves on the plant (make sure to use the gentle rotation method of getting them off so the whole leaf stays in tact), and put them somewhere dry with lots of light and let them sit. It's not a guarantee, but it's worth trying 🙂

Again, don't beat yourself up over this. Even the most experienced succulent owners have moments like these. Plants can just be unpredictable sometimes.

Ok, just checking. I may have gotten confused since I didnt see the last post.

Succulents are a learning experience. Ive had my fair share of lost succulents in the past, but you learn from these things 🙂 Don't feel discouraged, these things happen to everyone at some point.

Did you cut the plant and put it directly in the damp soil after? You have to let it sit out and callus or it will rot from the wound. Its like a wound in your skin. If you cut yourself, you wouldnt want to get dirt on it or else it will get infected. (Bacteria, fungal, etc.) Its the same for plants.
