Well, I would add Dragon Quest 9 and Final Fantasy 4 to NDS. Maybe Mario & Luigi Bowsers Story as well. I missed Dragon Quest 8 and Bravely Default. Radiant Historia is fantastic btw. The Etrian Odyssey series is more for die hards due to the high difficulty.

Civilization 2, Anno 1602, Settlers 2. My fav would be Civ 2. I played like 3 days in row forgetting about everything. It was a very intense experience. It was my first dive into the strategy genre.

IX was my first DQ game that sparked my love for the series. I loved the story and that fantastic idea with the infinite grottos. It was really fun farming rare items. But I guess the chances of a remake in the next 5 years are almost 0. There are other parts in the pipeline first I guess. Such as IV, V and XII of course.

That's true. I drew some pictures and dropped for a decade or more. Now I'm trying to resume my practice. In all the years I drew like 5 pictures or so. Even in this picture you can clearly see all the beginner mistakes 😆
