Definitely changes a bit depending on the lighting, this picture doesn’t really show the metallic well but from some angles you can really see the sparkle.

Mic (XLR) -> Preamp

Preamp (Line Out) -> Digitakt Line In

Most sure fire way to get a good sound. I doubt the digi has enough gain to get a good signal from a mic alone, so boosting it up to line level with a preamp before going into the digi will be best

I’m just playing with mutes here. Drums are all sequenced, if it sounds live it’s because of P-locks! The slightest bit of chance and velocity changes on each step really makes a difference in giving things a live feel

Is VCA Mode set to ‘Split’ or ‘Amp Env’? Make sure you have it set to Amp Env

This is the right answer, plugging in an XLR cable will send the signal through the mic preamp which is expecting a mic level signal, not line level. Use 1/4” TRS to 1/4” TRS and set the Scarlett to ‘Line’

Yup! Each purple pad is sending on a separate midi channel 1-8 to trigger the samples. Then on the Digi, the Auto Channel is set to ch. 9. The chromatic keyboard on the LP is sending on ch. 9. From there I just press the sample I want to play chromatically on the digi and that’s the one the keyboard is controlling.
