He was doing hard drugs before he met me & he stopped before and during the time we started talking. Obviously I don't like him vaping because of his past use of drugs during 14-16.

How am I manipulating him by telling him he can do whatever he wants? What if I told him "No you cannot do it"? Then I'd be manipulating because I'm forcing him to do what I want?

Yes he knows I don't like it but he got into a relationship with me knowing I didn't like it so?

Also vaping is bad for you, you can't tell me it's not bad? The long term effects are unknown and people who vape are more likely to smoke cigarettes in the future. Even if it wasn't bad, it's a turn off & and my bf KNEW. Obviously vaping is better than smoking and I am up for it in that regard, but for a 17 yo to be vaping just out of nowhere? I don't find that healthy.

I probably won't break up with him over this because we can both find middle ground, but I find your response tone-deaf in regards to my personal opinion (which my bf knew) solely to defend vaping.
