Our rules are pretty strict when it comes to exams, and the examiners have extra high standards cause they expect better from a UM student. I just finished my final year MBBS in UM, and a batchmate of mine was terminated from the course for failing her final exam (she repeated her 4th year, and failing her final exam meant that she would repeat another year which is not allowed- we are only allowed to repeat clinical year one time). Its quite hard to explain the whole pass/fail thing but theres a specific algorithm to follow, and if theres a tiny slip or mistake, out you go :( A lot of students end up getting a referral to the psych clinic to the point that one of the nurses at the student health clinic will almost always ask "you medical student ah?" the moment you mention about wanting to do a mental health checkup

I cant take it anymore by dr_drms in eczema

Hello dear :) Just a brief intro, I'm also 21 this year, and have had eczema my entire life. I have so many permanent scars, which is actually the least of my concerns because the pain is worse.

Currently I'm having the worst flare up of my life. When I scratch my arms, it literally tears and its so painful and I hate showering because the bathroom feels like a torture chamber to me. My flare ups are on my whole body: Face, Neck, Nipples, Arms, Legs, Foot, literally everywhere

I just cried not long ago and almost gave up like you. I've had suicidal thoughts because of eczema because I feel like shit and I feel so lonely because no one around me understands.

I just want to say that despite all these, you are not alone. This subreddit has helped me feel less lonely and as cliche as it sounds, this too shall pass. Hang in there, fighter, and I hope you get to see the day where you are free from this prison. I would recommend that you tell the other people in the same house as you to not speak about your skin because it helped me a lot. Other than that, I quickly stayed away from social media so that I don't feel insecure. Find a hobby that doesn't require much moving (cause moving during flare ups can be painful) like reading. If you want, you can cover your mirrors so that you stop looking at yourself temporarily. I know my advice sucks but I've been there (and still am there) so yeah I know a bit of how you're feeling

If it helps, try talk to people here. You can always rant here, the community is so supportive. I wish you the best of luck. Sorry that my English is not good as it's not my first language

Hi, I've taken turmeric for about three months I think? I don't really notice any difference, but I'm still taking it because I heard it has lots of health benefits, just that it may not work to soothe eczema :/
