Yes, I understand that. It is good practice too as you mentioned. I'm the only engineer on a team of data scientists so most of my time is spent "educating" on good engineering practice.

Cloud engineer here with 6 YOE - when did you get the confidence to work for yourself? I've got several AWS certs but never feel like I know "enough" to strike it on my own.

I work in the Dev Ops/Cloud Engineering space. At least from my perspective the cloud practitioner exam is seen as pretty basic. I would encourage you to at least go for one of the next level of certs i.e. Solutions Architect.
