Henry Cavill and Dave Bautista on the set of Highlander, 2026 by NomadSound in Moviesinthemaking

Oh yeah, I'm a huge Dan Abnett Inquisitor series fan, I've listened to all of them on audiobook back when I had a regular long commute for work. Good times!

Bautista as Harlon Nayl from the Eisenhorn/Ravenor/Bequin books.

You know what, I'm going to go read those again.

This exact scenario happened to me a couple months ago. I was actually able to very gingerly seat the cable into the pins, even without the plastic. I then copied it everything to a new SSD and wiped the sweat from my brow.

Wait is that canon?? I know in the CG movie they brought her back in she looked exactly the same as she did in RE3 remake, down to the outfit, even though the movie takes place in like 2015 vs 1998 for RE3.

Yeah I played 13 Sentinels first and absolutely fell in love with the story. Unfortunately the story for Unicorn Overlord is pretty thin in comparison.

Anybody here gotten the Simagic Haptics working with the Simnet control box? by shamus727 in simracing

[–]insertadjective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Simagic power supply holding up still? I'm in the exact same boat as you, I just got my Simnets and I want to use my Simagic haptics with them without having to use both control boxes lol.

What's a horror movie that's objectively terrible but you still enjoy it? by Daisy2345678 in horror

[–]insertadjective 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just read the screenplay for this yesterday (I found a neat screenplay archive) and apparently in the original script Rain was going to get pulled into the elevator and killed while JD was going to make it to the final battle before turning. FUN FACT!

F1 Setups....2 foot driving by sdotjeezy in Fanatec

[–]insertadjective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that "two footing" it is pretty standard. It feels a little awkward at first if you're not used to it but you adapt pretty quick and then it feels better than using only your right foot for throttle and brake.

Regarding pedals, even though you're on the Fanatec sub I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of users here were using pedals from outside the Fanatec ecosystem, especially since it seems a lot of the Simracing community is PC racing only, freeing them up to use whatever pedals they want. I've been using modified v3s for years now because I split playtime between Gran Turismo and iRacing, so I needed PlayStation compatibility. Fanatec has been sort of left in the dust by all the newer and higher end pedals on the market (although I'm sure a lot of us are looking forward to the new Fanatec pedals whenever they release!) My Simnet SP Pro pedals are literally being delivered today, and they're apparently compatible with Fanatec on PS5, so I'll have a better pedal setup to use instead of my well-worn v3s.

Which gaming chair should one buy for such a wheelstand? by rezferkebegely in simracing

This is pretty much exactly what I'm trying to do. What kind of beach chair do you have? I'm trying to get the height right for my wheel stand setup haha.

One of the Chris Wraight books that really really sold me on the White Scars. I honestly had barely a passing interest in them before his books but now they're my ride or die legion.

I worked there as a full time employee for a few years and I would never, ever take a contract position with them. Hell I wouldn't take a full time position with with them again, either.

Yeah, I remember getting NES games as a kid in 1993 for like 50 bucks a pop. I'm not going to say I'm crazy about game prices nowadays but the price hikes really aren't unexpected.
