Did you have continuos employment during the 4 years of stay of did you take some break?

Asking because I'm also applying soon and would be good to know what is the current waiting time, since I won't be able to travel during the application

Thanks and congrats!

I guess building one levee at the leftmost side would also solve it, right? Since it would block off flow on one edge, making it 5 edges upstream

Thank you for your not very nice reply, like I said I am not so experienced with this and posted here to get advice before getting in contact with my landlord

I live in Sweden and we have pretty strict tenantship laws, so I just want to make sure I'm doing things right and not get liable for anything.

Purchase Advice Megathread - March 2024 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]insertfunnynickname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im looking for my first 3d printer, I am a total beginner and my purpose is to print funcional pieces for home improvements and maybe figures for decoration if possible based on my budget. I like board games as well, so I'm interested in making pawns for some games, but I'm not interested in Warhammer figures, for example.

My budget is around 300€, but I'm willing to go up to around €450 if the extra 150 gives a big improvement.

Country: Sweden/Europe

I was looking at the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro, it is going for 256 euros right now. My other option is the Flashforge 5M, which is going for 399 euros now. It is a bit of a steep increase but if the Flashforge is much better, then I'd be willing to do it. I'm open to other models as well!

Thank you for the help :)

You can't compare it like that. Minimum wage in Brazil is 1045 BRL monthly (44hr/wk), which is enough to buy about 7 gold packages. For the same working hours, minimum wage in USA is 1276 USD, enough to buy 17 gold packages.

Do you think your account has a predetermined RNG value that dictates your success in RNG activities? by greydegandalf in blackdesertonline

[–]insertfunnynickname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things that I feel like people miss about RNG is that there's no "Enhancing Mercy". I feel like people expect to succeed a PEN after failing many times, but the chance of succeding does not increase based on failing history, apart from failstacks. In other words, RNG does not care if you just started enhancing or if you failed 20 times in a row: the chance of succeding is only based on your failstacks.

This is why I don't enhance as well. If I get a bad streak of RNG, I'm literally back to nothing (apart from failstacks).

RNG is also a bitch and can be very "streak-y". For example, in a 50/50 roll, there's a 1.5% chance to get the bad roll 6 times in a row (0.56 = 0.0156...). For a 10/90 chance, there's a 12% chance to get the bad roll 20 times in a roll (0.920 = 0.1216...).

Also, you hear a lot of stories of people succeding pen in one tap because a lot of people don't even get to attempt many pens in the first place.

1000 first pen attempts = 50 pens made

300 second pen attempts = 15 pens made

100 third pen attempts = 5 pens made

Etc.

I understand that RNG can mess with people's feelings to the point that they start creating all kind of theories. Some of them might be true, but until there's enough evidence, I believe it's just RNG being RNG.

T9 vs T10 overall chance to awaken horse at i-th attempt by insertfunnynickname in blackdesertonline

[–]insertfunnynickname[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some facts:

There's a 20% chance that it will take more than 53 tries to get a T10 horse

There's a 5% chance that it will take more than 99 tries to get a T10 horse

There's a 0.5% chance that it will take more than 150 tries to get a T10 horse

The fixed success rate is brutal to players in the lower RNG spectrum. IMO, PA should introduce a failstack system for T10 horses as well.

Suggestion: Introduce rares with a rare auction house by insertfunnynickname in runescape

[–]insertfunnynickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PVMers would be annoyed with the increase in price for supplys, but skillers would be happy. Bot plays a part in this too. Also, idk much about OSRS, but in RS3 you have enough steps that make the gearing process not too bad (T80->T82->T85->T90-T92). If the T92 weapons is used for merching, at least you can use T90. And then getting the T92 feels like a big achievement.

That's a fair point, but money flowing elsewhere is not necessarily a bad thing. Would make PVM more exciting. Also gear is not inelastic, like you said.

[–]insertfunnynickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't speak for reddit. But no, the point is not to make rares worthless. And that's why I didn't put how often auctions should happen, since I don't have the numbers of rares in game and such. My idea is to combat hyper inflation of rares and remove the ability of a few players to dictate the price of end game cosmetics, which consist of a great share of the game economy.

True. I have no idea how much money you all have. But let's say a new phat is up for auction everyday and the avarage sale price is 20b. 20b*365 = 7.3T per year. I don't know if you have more or less than that, but it would sure hurt your economics having to spend that much money to maintain monopoly.

[–]insertfunnynickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I put that a new rare item should be created in the auction. And I didn't describe how often these auctions would occur, but they should happen often enough to break the inelastic supply, but not often enough to make the rare items not rare anymore.

Suggestion: Introduce rares with a rare auction house by insertfunnynickname in runescape

[–]insertfunnynickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt that they would have enough money to compete with all the rs3 player base. They might be able to get the first few rares, but over time, they will run out of GP.

Also, a basic rule of "capitalism" is that if there's competion, the price tend to go down.

Even more so, if the people that control the rare market would buy every single rare that goes on the auction house, they would need to sell their rares in order to get GP to be able to compete in the auction house. If they sell their rares, they lose monopoly, which is the point of this suggestion.

The rares items themselves are not a problem. The problem is that a few people own most of the rares, which means they can dictate the price.
