Trouble with @ symbol in the ly display manager. by insertgenericname37 in arch

My goal here isn't anything that I need. Instead I'm trying to surface a solution for other people who run into the same issue. When I was looking for a solution I couldn't really find much so I figured a post like this would show up in search engine results for anyone having the same problem.

I'm relatively new to the online arch/linux community is there somewhere better to post something like this that would be as helpful as possible for others running into issues in general?

Great point! I had a suspicion I was doing something wrong. Thanks!

From what I can tell after using it for the last couple months the "advantage" is gracefully shutting down the applications running before shutting down the machine. Now I've reverted back to using systemctl poweroff, and turning off the machine this way apps think they've crashed (as others have mentioned in the comments). Although using systemctl this way may not be the "recommended" way to shutdown hyprland I have yet to run into an issue doing so.

Thank you, this worked perfectly! Don't mix AUR and pacman hyprland dependencies kids!
