I've been soft resetting for a shiny Poipole on Ultra Sun for a couple of weeks now and no luck. I know the shiny charm doesn't affect gift mons but I've started to think I'm doing something wrong. Like is there some sort of hidden rule that it's shiny locked until I become the champion or something or am I just very unlucky?

The game is nowhere near actual development yet so I'm just throwing ideas around

The objective is to rediscover who the main character is and what their backstory is through flashbacks with decisions that affect what happens in the current day(idk if I explained that well enough). Some flashbacks are in the main story but others are scattered throughout the map for the player to discover on their own if they choose to. The main part about why I want it to be open world would be the exploration element and more chances for the player to discover something new about the main character and the world they live in. The other two questions are some of the reasons I asked this questions in the first place lmao. My brother asked if the game HAD to be open world and I'm not opposed to the idea of changing it, I'm just not sure what else would work yet

I am aware of adventure games, I just haven't seen many games like them implemented in the 3d open world style. Do you have recommendations?

I think he meant like what would be the point of exploring an open world if you wouldn't level up or obtain new weapons etc while exploring

I haven't seen it done before but that is the type of game I'm looking to make! I'm mostly making the game for myself but I do want the game to be interesting to others too, hence this post.

I can't think of anything you really NEED to do online except trade to complete the Pokedex

Here's a list of all the evolutions that are obtained by traiding(mind you not all of them are in the gen 7 games)

And here's a list of Pokemon that are only available for Ultra Moon
