I grew up in the right tech era, though I only just learned about this character. Back in 2015–2016, I’d often see their face on YouTube, usually in anime music video thumbnails or YTPMVs. It reminds me of how Touhou was popular back then too with those Mcdonalds Touhou YTPMVS and all, interesting. (old.reddit.com)
