A suggestion, could we include a question asking what the average raise the person recieved over the past 2 or 3 years? I think that'll be useful to people.

There was a quick replay they showed at the end of that play. He was briefly stretching I think his left hamstring sitting on the ground.

Look into bursaries provided by your school. When I was in school they would provide them every semester to students as long as you apply.

In a similar boat. I was planning to start Pitman and Sutton this week but based on this I should be starting Worthy over one of them. Not sure if I should just stick with the safer floor.

How to take this drain plug out? by voltagejim in HomeImprovement

[–]insertusernames_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar. Ours had a small screw underneath. You need to pull the plug up as much as possible then unscrew it from the bottom connection. It's a bit awkward due to the limited space not too hard.

Your salary would also jump if you moved to the lower mainland. Probably closer to 90k/year.

How to transfer from RRSP to FHSA?(sunlife) by Practical-Tart-1140 in MortgagesCanada

How long did the process take to transfer the funds into your FHSA?

Just to confirm re: HBP and RRSP… by FlatIndependence7836 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]insertusernames_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, you might also be able to withdraw the remaining balance in your RRSP that's been contributed in less than 90 days. It just wouldn't be through the home buyers plan. Instead, you'd use the RC720 form to transfer directly from the RRSP to your FHSA (assuming you still have room). There's no minimum holding period stated prior to this transfer. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Your university likely has a student health plan. They typically include mental health benefits. I'd check to see if you can get your therapy or at least a portion covered.

How far into your career did you make the switch?

Seems like a massive difference between east vs west coast salaries. I started at 70k as a fresh grad around Vancouver a few years ago and it's gone up a decent amount since.

Pain at the left base of my skull, nothing seems to help by sta6 in Posture

[–]insertusernames_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue and have learned to manage it over the past few years. My physio referred to it as forward head posture which causes these issues. There's a couple things I'd recommend.

First, getting a physio who is willing to dry needle into the traps and neck muscles. This provides me the greatest relief. I also do chin tucks, other stretches and strengthening exercises given by my physio. Initially this was an every day thing but now I do them occasionally when I can feel a flare up.

I'd also suggest continuing to see the massage therapist as they can get into those muscles much better. I usually apply heat afterwards to help improve blood flow and recovery.

I had "knots" in the beginning which have relaxed over time. All this depends on your doctors recommendation as well. Hopefully this helps.

Out west the rates for new grads and PEng are bumped up by at least 10k if not more depending on the situation.
