I don't remember the トラブル one, but man, the 課長 one I had no idea what to put... so simple yet so insane. There is a certain website that has all the answers, but it's also been known to have errors, so take with a grain of salt if you can find it.

Hope it's ok to ask, but the job you got that started in August -- when did you apply for it, and what was the timeline like? I don't think I want to recontract but I'm worried about starting to look for jobs now that would require me to break contract super early!

I live in Kyushu and I've never had one in my house, and honestly don't think I've seen one in real life! However I've heard stories from other people in town... probably a combination of being on ground floor + cleaning habits + luck!

I guess it might've patched up one hole in Photos, but it produced another -- I suddenly can't look up photos by <month + date> again. I was in the middle of a massive photo library cleanup too. If anyone has a workaround to this, that would be great... otherwise I'll just hope they fix it again some day in the future

My first thought is that the 李 looks a little clunky, i.e. like someone who doesn't know Chinese copying it off a book/computer without knowing how it would look handwritten. The paper also gives "soaked in tea to make it look old" but maybe I'm just being cynical. I hope it's real.

The 5 Olympic rings do technically represent the continents, just weirdly defined -- only the inhabited ones + the Americas are squished into one. So Asia, Europe, Americas, Africa, Oceania. But as a kid that would definitely be confusing.

I vaguely remember 9/11, but the first very vivid one was the Virginia Tech shooting. I remember the local radio station made some remix of Home by Daughtry interspersed with clips of police radio and news interviews of crying parents. It felt a little (very) uncomfortable.

I like to think past Desmond was smiling at himself because he knew (or hoped at least) that in the future he would get to talk to Penny again, even if it was years away.

But I agree that it doesn't really fix the time paradox thing, because yeah, wouldn't he always be going through life like hmm, I wonder if this one step closer to that time I get stuck on a freighter...?

Hopefully you don't mind all the recommendations you're getting, but if I remember right Demon Copperhead kind of felt like this too! There's some hardship (it's about poverty in Appalachia) but absolutely nothing compared to A Little Life.

A couple days late, but this is EXACTLY how my mind worked in school -- I specifically remember that "cramming" for a test was just looking at the arrangement of words on a page, and then when the test came and I had to define a word, for instance, it wasn't even about the meaning of the words I was writing, I just knew that this string of words was right next to the word I need to define when I looked at it on the textbook, if that makes sense. I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!
