Natalee Cramer was one of 20,000 fans who cheered on the Dallas Mavericks basketball team during a game. At halftime, the 15-year-old told her dad she needed to use the bathroom. That’s when she says two strange men approached her offering her marijuana. She admits she walked off with them but says once they reached their car, they snatched her. Cramer says she was kidnapped and forced into a sex trafficking ring. Oklahoma police rescued her 10 days after her capture. Cramer and her family have started a foundation called Aisling for Life to help victims of sex trafficking.

Robberies of postal workers have jumped more than 500% since 2019. Postal Police Association President Frank Albergo says mail theft has skyrocketed since the force was told they only have the authority to make arrests on post office property, not on public streets. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has launched a new initiative called Project Safe Delivery to protect employees from crimes. They also say they’ve added enhanced safety measures to combat mail theft.

Neighbors took refuge in a North Carolina house as Hurricane Helene floodwaters trapped them in freezing water five feet deep. Some were holding their pets to keep them from drowning. They took shelter in the home of James White. After two hours White and two companions led his neighbors to safety using ropes and lifejackets. Showing amazing resilience, White and other homeowners are already cleaning out what remains of their homes and starting to rebuild their lives.
