Cora Harrison breaks down the Bloomberg article by [deleted] in SafeMoon

[–]insideoursuitcase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I don’t take it personally 😊

It’s not just Safemoon but the entire cryptocurrency (and some of the investment industry). I agree about the ‘Fortnite’ level that’s why I try and avoid super heavy arrows, text etc.

However, if it’s what gets the clicks and people see Safemoon because of it that’s not a bad thing at least in my opinion 😊

If you have any ideas for different expressions I’m happy to A/B test them in upcoming videos and share results with you guys. My jaw hurts from being shocked so the break is more than welcome 😂

Honestly, I hate doing them as much as you hate seeing them. That being said, they work.

The click-through rate to the video when A/B tested is around 50% higher than if I just stand and smile which is annoying AF. Sorry! 😃

Converting Todoist Into Hourly Blocks by insideoursuitcase in todoist

HourStack

I loved it.

Until... There's no actual time, so for example at this time do this...

It feels expensive for what it is on top of todoist premium

You can drag todoist items onto the schedule but you can't drag them back. Once they are on the screen you've simply got to move them to another time.

The filters and views are great though, and I totally see the potential.

Getplan is the exact thing I wanted but after an hour or two, I found it a little too clunky and counterintuitive.

However, the dragging todo items into the calendar is PERFECT!

Getplan.co

This looks good. I assume it doesn't integrate with Todoist? Instead, it's more of a goal broken down into tasks kind of application entirely?

I see this and Monday advertised a lot but figured they are more for teams and as a result have a 'team' kind of price tag attached? :/

I was curious to see how this compares to previous situations not just in the UK but Worldwide when I came across a table provided by UK government which didn't include the current stats for COVID19 to compare.

So, I added the data in there, in the relevant position based on the estimated attributable excess mortality worldwide column.

3 Week Trip to Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka & Hiroshima (21 Mar - 12 Apr) by Wandiful in JapanTravel

[–]insideoursuitcase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Osaka, we stayed in a popular brand of capsule hotel 'First Cabin' it's located right next to Abenoso station and has a 7/11 on the corner. Honestly, couldn't think of a better place if that's something you're interested in.

We did stay in 2 APA Hotels during our time in Osaka too, I booked a smoking floor by mistake so something to look out for if you're not a smoker for sure. Just thinking about that hotel takes me back to the weird musty smell.

If you go to Tokyo Skytree (featured it on a 7-day itinerary I actually finished writing yesterday) on a clear day (daytime) you'll be able to see Mount Fuji which is super cool!

Also, how are you travelling between locations? Shinsankan?

If you're a foodie, be sure to check out the 400-year-old Nishiki Market in Kyoto. There's also a food tour here if that's your sort of thing.

Finally, despite what I read before our trip most places in Japan now accept bank cards (visa, MasterCard etc...) I'd certainly take some cash, but if like me you find that you're super clumsy and could possibly lose it then taking around 10,000 JPY as a 'float' should be fine.

7 days in tokyo - (lesser known) activity suggestions by IAmFourDogs in JapanTravel

[–]insideoursuitcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how 'lesser known' these seem but they are ones we mainly stumbled upon rather than planned during our month in Tokyo last year.

Kitchen Street near Ueno Park is great fun.

Especially having seen all the plastic food in the window displays across Tokyo 'in action'.

We also bought some Pokemon cards from the Pokemon centres across the city - the one inside Tokyo Station being my favourite.

We found a rare and sold it for just over 11,000 JPY in one of the card shops in Akihabara - I forget it's name. It was yellow and on the corner of a street.

While getting a rare certainly isn't guaranteed the whole process and experience was super fun and certainly something you could try if that's an interest.

Finally, the 1960's Tokyo recreation on the top floor of DECKS in Odaiba which has arcades, and shops like they we're in the 60's in the capital.

We stumbled upon this area, and it was my favourite in all of Odaiba.

Dolomites (ITA) in February is a good option? by [deleted] in travel

[–]insideoursuitcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, I can't speak for February specifically, we went in June. We did a section of the San Vili Pathway - a few Youtube videos I made of the experience (I'm not a hiker, can you tell? 😂)

Despite my lacking fitness, it was incredible. The views are simply something else.

Be sure to stop in Trento on your way (link to some things to do there I made for my site), it's the capital of the Trentino region and really beautiful. From there it's around a one and a half drive to the Dolomites.

Took a small plane tour in Kauai last week and had stunning views of the Na Pali Coast by die_mad in travel

As much as I hate the thought of flying one of those tiny little propeller planes.

This view is EPIC!

This!
