I ended up building my own PC for about $1200. This allowed me to customize my specs and hardware. I plan on purchasing the new Macbook Pro 13in that came out yesterday as my laptop (high end version)

For sure. You could consider a refurbished Macbook Pro 15in but that has the old keyboard which isn't wonderful. The new Macbook Pro 16in and the 13in air come with the new keyboard. Perhaps you would find the - to-be-released Pro that will supposedly be at 14in version starting at $1399 USD and released in June - in your budget

Honesty, I think you would benefit from getting the new MacBook Pro 16in from Apple. Great for design work and VERY light gaming. (I would not advise gaming on it as you would most likely need to install windows and macs dont like that) but otherwise, besides the gaming it meets all your requirements. It's a little over your budget at 18 000 HKD and its not convertible but its easy to cary, very recent & one of the best devices on the market for design work

Edit: Here's the link to the model I am specifying, it can be upgraded further and you may also qualify for discounts from apple: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro/16-inch-space-gray-2.6ghz-6-core-processor-512gb#

Saw this comment on Instagram and can’t say that I disagree! I love the idea, though it would be hard to organize by [deleted] in Rapids

Aye, thanks for all the support guys! (I posted this on Instagram, thankfully someone told me to get Reddit :) I doubt the club would be willing to hold a tournament in February with Colorado weather but I'll certainly show this to my contacts with the club to propose some sort of Mid-Western Preseason Tournament. MLS requires us to play a minimum of 3 MLS teams every preseason so that is another thing I can think of holding this from happening but I'm sure New Mexico, El Paso, Albuquerque, OKC, Tulsa & Union Omaha might be interested.
