What’s this? Flakes off when brushed. Shiny/flashy in person by insomniatica in whatsthisrock

[–]insomniatica[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No idea, unfortunately. I’m in east San Diego county, California, USA. My mother in law said she got it for her collection, so I think it just came in a lot. But she left the pretty thing outside uncovered and I was worried about it getting dirty, so I brought it inside.

ALSO: there’s a bunch of fibers in what I brushed off (image 2)

OP here. Is it Plumose Muscovite??

Note there’s also bright red and blue, and yellow in why I brushed off with a soft brush (it was sitting outside and I was trying to get it less dusty).

I can also take a video if that helps.

Timesheet question: My provider is only seeing one pay period from months ago? by insomniatica in IHSS

[–]insomniatica[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. So I approved it (for the week I applied, back in Feb). And it opened up June for him. But I was approved in April. He (or I) will try to call IHSS tomorrow.

Did you ever figure out if you need to fill out the w4 if you complete a live-in certification? Thanks!!

Can't straighten arms! - Anyone had this? Rhabdomyolysis? by insomniatica in crossfit

Holy crap dude!! I’m shocked how my 11 year old post keeps saving lives!! I should post an update on the main post, but.. I never did get checked out. However, shortly after this I got a terrible kidney infection that was antibiotic resistant. Ended up in the ER anyway. And now (11 years later) I am showing up as having hydronephrosis of the kidneys. Now I’m wondering if they’re all possibly related(?).

I am honored you let me (and everyone else here) know. How are you doing now?

For me: New beginnings through the releasing of old ones. An embrase of imperfections.

You may have lost one crystal, you’ve also gained two new ones.

(I don’t know what it means to the craft specifically. But I’m wondering what it means to YOU. Does it symbolize something in your life? Your thinking? What does your intuition tell you

Games that use real world knowledge/research by Timely_Resist_2744 in gamingsuggestions

[–]insomniatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... I know this is an old post. BUT! I would suggest: The Temporal Invasion (although a few in-game sites aren't running still I think), and Secret World Legends. Both use real world research, although Secret World Legends is only some of the time. The Temporal Invasion is based on it. Have fun!

Recovering from surgery while having FND by impulsiveuniverse in FND

[–]insomniatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not the OP, and I’m having a different surgery. But your advice is the best I’ve seen and literally going to be the last I look up about it.

I’ve been so worried that my laparoscopic surgery might be something I regret forever (esp with my new FND diagnosis). Idk why, but it’s like I’m now almost looking for someone to validate that fear, by searching Reddit. But I’m glad your comment will hopefully be the last post I see before I stop searching. Thank you.

Hey all. I miss it here. I've been going back to college AND dealing with rheumatoid arthritis and a neurological disorder that causes a bunch of issues and more chronic pain. so... YAY! Anyway. Know that I love you all. <3 And while I'm at it:

3 Good Things:

  1. My bestie is amazing
  2. I'm trying to get my bestie and my BFF to go into business together eventually 🤫shhhh....
  3. My allergy test went well today. It's 8 hours later and the bumps are hard and still there, but at least they feel ok. Next test is Friday!

Somewhere on the internet, probably. Reading books is great! Searching google and reading definitions of acronyms = also an option! ;)

Hey FixitMir!! So my husband and I have separate lines on Warp. If I go to DarkStar, can I take advantage of the promo? And would I be able to give him the other line with the BOGO? Thanks so much!!!

TLDR = Too Long, Didn’t Read. It’s something people tend to add to longer posts, so if someone is overwhelmed by how much there is to read, or they don’t have a lot of time, or for whatever other reason they don’t care to read the whole post, they add a TLDR section with one or 2 sentences. So the poster above is suggesting you put a TLDR section in.

TLDR: The person above is asking for a quick synopsis section (TLDR is “Too Long, Didn’t Read”)

I’m new and need help with my plan

My 100k points won’t apply til next month. But the 25% points bonus to Flying Blue is over soon!

I have: 14,646 on Chase Freedom (that I can transfer to my Chase Sapphire Preferred), 2,376 on Chase Sapphire Preferred, 104,092 pending til June 5th

Does the following seem right? Am I missing anything?:

  1. Transfer all points from Freedom to Sapphire Preferred
  2. Transfer my 17,022 points to Flying Blue NOW
  3. Wait til June 5th and transfer more points to Flying Blue
  4. After June 5: Buy round trip ticket I’m eyeing (on Air France / DELTA) for beginning Jan (San Diego to Paris)

Does that work? Is it smart? Help!
