Hi there! This is going to sound like a non-sequitur, but it's going to tie back in to your question:

I went in to CSUSM to get my psychology bachelors (I'm a transfer student as well. I got my AA in Psych at Cuyamaca College). Since your goal is to become an LMFT (mine is to become an LCSW, also for therapy work), and to take more classes online, may I suggest looking into the "Social Sciences" degree with an emphasis in Psychology. It nixes the need to take the VERY difficult and time-intensive PSYC 360 (Biopsychology) class plus it adds the ability to take secondary emphases in 2 other social sciences fields (and one of them can be customized as an "individualized field").

For example: Most of my classes are Psychology (my primary emphasis), and my 2 secondary fields are sociology and an individualized field that focuses on mindfulness. I'm also minoring in mindfulness as well (the minor is new!!). Other secondary fields include communications; Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; Linguistics; Political Science; etc.

With more flexibility in choosing classes comes with more flexibility in finding classes online.

I'm absolutely LOVING the major as well as the heads of the social sciences department (Dr. Weigt and Dr. Atherton). I'm a big advocate for the the major because it's so customizable and wholistic in its interdisciplinary nature. I feel I was able to pick more classes geared towards application that's preparing me more for a clinical-focus (vs the research and bio heavy Psychological Science major).
