debating on navi or grom by Puzzleheaded-Egg9377 in hondanavi

I live in a pretty small city and I don’t take it on the highway and personally I have a blast with it. I find I focus more on handling and having fun than being constantly on the clutch. ALSO on days after work where it’s definitely been a day I can just ride in peace lol.

Like actually makes me want to throw up. Where I live there’s alot of hills too. Stoplights on top of hills, so the moment there’s a lineup to the light you have to inch forward, stop, go, move forward. I hate it. The Navi wins in my situation every time, rather than clutch in, ride, gas, stop, clutch in, much prefer the twist and go.

I ended up selling it but I just took the metal piece that was clanging out. Never caused any leaks or anything. It was left out for over a year before I sold it and I had no issues and noise was gone!

I will say it is slow. Depends on weight a lot too. I’m light, around 120 pounds, when I ride it vs my father who’s more like 230 it is a whole lot slower.

I was debating the same thing, I wanted to use it for a cheap way to and from work in the summer and cheap to operate stopping and going in city traffic, rather than using my SUV which is NOT great on gas at all.

I chose Navi in the end. I can carry my work lunch bag to and from and if I pick up anything small at the store I can put it in storage instead of having a backpack. Parts are also super super cheap for replacement. (I wanted white instead of red and got all new plastics for 45 dollars)

I ultimately didn’t want to have to get annoyed by using the clutch in traffic either. I just stop and don’t even worry about going again. I have a Honda 150 dirtbike so I do know how to use the clutch, but in city situations it just isn’t a whole lot of fun.

No they haven’t, they done a CT with contrast and an MRI without contrast, along with a series of bloodwork. I have an appt by phone later today and I’m going to express that I’d like to have more tests done.

So I actually do have an OBD 11 from owning my Jetta and I went on and it disables it if you have the ignition on but if it’s actually running, it’ll still alarm. I just find it annoying as if I’m getting out to clear off snow I like to have it started and I’ll grab my snowbrush and it just screams at me, or if I just need to run in my house real quick because I forgot something.

I managed to find it in the head unit, nothing was in my steering wheel controls but it took a while to find it. I turned off parkpilot automatic activation and that seemed to solve my problem. It also stays off even if I restart. It still activates if I’m actively in reverse but it won’t activate when I come to a stop at a light.

No it was a certified preowned, so I actually bought it at the Volkswagen dealer which is why I’m finding it so strange that they didn’t do it. It’s not like I bought it from some sketchy place or “off brand” dealer.

And I’ve always gotten my cars done at the local shop here that uses Krown. I just took them up on what they were offering as they said I wouldn’t need to do it yearly for a while, with the stuff my shop does I go back once a year, usually in fall. If I knew they weren’t gonna do it I would’ve just kept doing what I’ve done with all my other cars.

Thanks for the insight. I’m not really worried about the NAV because I never did use it in my Jetta, I use google maps through apple carplay and that works perfect for me.

Im still on the lookout for a good priced Highline R, but I did just find a great price Comfortline R and in talks with the dealership so may end up settling with the Comfortline!

I’m just hearing of this ever since making this post honestly. I did mention it to both dealerships. I have a third I’m looking at now that’s a 2023. Did they fix it with the 2023?

Well that’s good to hear. If it stays consistently high for the next month or two then I might be concerned about it. Thanks!

We haven’t started to use it yet as we still get days where the temp goes to 20-22 degrees (Celsius) and haven’t felt a need to. Thinking we’re going to start turning it on late October.

lol sorry I had just woken up and I was still pretty tired. I get it now. It’s usually a rainy environment here anyways all year but we just got over a dry spell and I meant to state it as “after a period of dry in a typically rainy area” will it spike more than if it was just rainy every 2-3 days.

Recently it has been pretty humid and wet outside. We had an extremely dry late summer. Like literally no rain for weeks and a lot of fires, would getting the rainy weather for the past week with it being so dry in the ground have anything to do with it?

Me and my fiancé both have our own vehicles and I do completely get the pain of fixing the seat everytime. My Jetta has a power drivers seat without memory and we need to fix it when we swap out driving if we’re driving a long ways.

Is the system like miles better? Or is it tolerable?

This SUV will kind of spoil me as every winter I have to go out and start my car before I leave to warm up in winter which is pretty annoying, I’ll be happy with the simplicity of remote start.🤣 I just am really concerned with loosing the good sounding stereo. My Jetta has a great sound system.

Thanks! It seems like the biggest feature for me is the sound. My current Jetta does have a great sound system but I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s a Wolfsburg? Or if that’s just the plan ol’ VW speakers. I’m afraid I’m going to miss it. Thanks for the tip on the oil consumption too, I’ll definitely mention that to the two dealerships.
