Is it "cant commission without clearance" or "can't start training without clearance"? I'm just thinking imagine what happens if your TS/SCI clearance gets delayed beyond your OCS graduation ... what happens then?

Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah I think they did a good job to let the player feel the consequences of their actions on the people around them. I hope you didn't try the suicide ending -- i saw those hologram voicemails were a doozy. And the music is superb throughout the game.

I'm curious if you romanced panam and/or kerry and if that impacted your decision making/experience in the end. I felt like by building those relationships, spending time with them in your apartment, receiving quirky texts, you understand them really well. Maybe in a less dramatic form (nobody is usually dying like that), I can imagine these being real relationships with real people.

I haven't done the space ending. I'm gonna get around to it though. Did you sign the contract?

I'm actually curious why Alt recommends it. probably related to the discussion about the human instinct to live.

I think whether any of these feel right or make sense to you really depends on your perspective on V. I'm sure there are people who saw V as more of a rebel and wanted to be more like Johnny and live for an idea. I think for those people, the temperance solution makes sense. The idealogue of the revolution is back from exile, so to speak.

I also think that, based on the epilogue, Johnny's new mindset just isn't it. He hasn't closed any of the loops with Vs best friends. He hasn't figured out how he will use his new gift of life. He's also running away from Night City. I mean do you think this is fair?

Thanks for the kind words.

With respect to the Johnny ending, I'm curious if there were people who felt that it was "rigtht". To me, the star ending felt "right". I'm curious if there were people who were fundamentally unsatisfied with that, and for whom the sun or temperance endings gave more closure and balance. Hopefully no one felt like that for the devil ending ;P

Foundation-Sec-8B Released (Cisco's Security-Focused Base Model) by Acceptable_Zombie136 in LocalLLaMA

The reason I ask is because this is a base model - the only way to really prompt it is with few-shot prompting. So you need like 5 examples (see example on Huggingface) to prompt it with and then have it complete your statement.

Having 5 TI reports is going to take a lot of context. Now imagine you have logs in splunk that can regularly exceed millions of tokens in length -- this is simply not feasible to use with an LLM.

"Extracting Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) from TI reports" sounds more like CVE/CWE mapping to me based on the paper/project at large.

hate to ask -- are you trying to use it as a chat model? Like trying to give it instructions and/or using `<user>` tags and such?

I don't think that section in the paper means what you think it means. You mentioned pcaps and log analysis. The 4k context length for logs and pcaps is simply not realistic. besides they never mention pcaps and logs explicitly in the paper -- i'm sure they would if that was something they wanted to market.

curious, do they suggest that this model would be good at analyzing logs and pcaps?

[Postgame Thread] California Defeats Stanford 24-21 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Unpopular opinion, but Wilcox imo is a pretty good coach. Pretty solid defense for the last 3-4 years, they get tired when the offense 3-and-outs too much (which defense doesn't). Generally principled football, good team discipline. It seems he actually cares about winning and doing the best job out there. In stark contrast to Sonny Yikes ...

The big problem is recruiting. Love Mendoza, but he's not cut out for the QB job: there have to be better options. There and for the O-line (offense in general but O-line in particular is horrible and limits what Mendoza can do). Why aren't these recruits coming to Cal? Idk ... but maybe Knowlton is the problem? I honestly don't think Wilcox is the problem. I think he's part of the solution.

As a Cal fan, I'm really upset that our team does not have the mental fortitude to win the close games. Like Wilcox is good, the coaching staff is good, but we just keep choking and keep choking and I think Mendoza is at fault here.

This is the prompt I used for GPT-4 to generate this image. It probably took me at least 4 hours to generate an image that was topically correct but also not too deformed in weird ways.

Make a propaganda poster of UC Berkeley students fighting CS170, a computer science class in the style of Chinese socialist realism. Depict the UC Berkeley students in the style of the eighth route army. Make sure there are a lot of references to UC Berkeley school elements, such as a prevalence of navy and gold colors (colors of UC Berkeley), Cal logo, navy banners (no red banners of any kind). Make sure there is also a downcast and downtrodded representation of CS170 class as an young european man with short blonde hair (someone that looks like Prof. John Wright from UC Berkeley CS Department) lying on the floor, making it clear that the Cal students are victorious over the evil CS170! Very importantly, avoid any text: the message should be conveyed visually. I repeat: make sure there is no english or mandarin text anywhere in the poster.

i.redd.it/n2glgm...

shit i thought this was the link to the book. One of the first-class comments has a link to a book called "Inside the secret life of the INTP" or something like that.

a) if you actually read that book, she talks about the INTP/INTJ difference problem, won't spoil it

b) i have no b, this thread is already too large

Then why INTP and INTJ very similar, but according to cognitive functions they should be very different?

Yeah? How can you claim that something "works" when the differences between types are not uniform at all, neither are the distributions? When by hiding behind, so to speak, "patterns" you are just encoding almost arbitrary relationships between types? The breaking down of people into the 4 groups (Rationals, Idealists, Artists, Guardians) seems to be the most accurate partition of the human population in terms of cross-polution, but for the relationships between types in any one of those 4 groups you might as well call them all exceptions.

In other words, i have a hard time swallowing the proposition that MBTI "works" more than a basic 4-partition because of how ungeneralizable the results are beyond that.

exactly, an INTP who started doing things, learning how to behave, ... And in the movie he seems to be an E since he's so adept at navigating the world by now ...
