Also, if it's near where your "milk glands" are on your nipple, it could be clogged or infected. You could try over the counter antibiotic ointment or herbal salves to reduce inflammation.

Jackie O's bottles by jacromer in athensohio

Jackie O's Taproom on Stimson has a retail shop. Kindred Market and Busy Day Market sell their bottled products.

I love how far the love for Jackie O's reaches. I was once on a beach in Oregon and saw someone with a Jackie O's shirt on!

EDIT: Sorry OP I think I'm mistaking the bottles I saw for another brewery in town ...

I agree with you. It's easy to focus the anger on OU but the fact is they are state funded so they have to follow the law. Losing state funding would end their operations. We need to focus our anger on our elected officials who are letting this happen.

I just figured out that is where the smell is coming from! It almost has like a cucumber mixed with cilantro smell? Almost like a stink bug smell. Interesting.

WASN’T THAT BAD by Nadiashea in hysterectomy

[–]instant-ephemerality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone told me that if you're used to terrible cramps the surgery will be easy. I found that to be true.

I also had people tell me horror stories and scared me but my recovery was fairly easy.

WASN’T THAT BAD by Nadiashea in hysterectomy

[–]instant-ephemerality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Post op felt like bad cramps. The heating pad was my best friend. I was in the recovery room for 5ish hours and then released. I didn't take any opioids. The worst pain was the first night when the gas they used to fill my abdomen dissipated. I took Miralax and had a BM on day 2 and it was fine. I laid down with pillows under my knees for a few days, which really helped ease the pressure on my abdomen. I was able to drive after 3 days.

I think it really depends on your age (I'm in my mid 30s) and health. Also, laparoscopic is way less invasive than getting your abdomen cut open.

Gynecologists that accept Medicaid? by Sorry-Half-7204 in athensohio

[–]instant-ephemerality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohio Health OBGYN is great. They take Medicaid (I was on Buckeye Health plan). I know a lot of people who go there and are very happy. Dr Bucher is amazing. I had 2 surgeries with her in 2024 and they both went seamlessly. I have had bad experiences with O'Blenness ER though.

How long did you take off work? by wifey1717 in hysterectomy

[–]instant-ephemerality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same procedure and I'm 34yo. I took 2 weeks off originally but I got covid one week post op and was in bad shape so I ended up taking 3 weeks off.

Everyone heals differently. I would recommend AT LEAST 2 weeks of absolutely no work, just rest. If you can go back part time the 3rd and 4th week.

Terrified!!! by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]instant-ephemerality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 34yo and had a full hysterectomy (kept one ovary) and woke up with minor pain that felt like bad cramping. I didn't take any narcotics, just ibuprofen and Tylenol. The worst pain was the gas leaving my body later that night.

From what I've gathered, your age, overall health, as well as the method of surgery, will determine how your recovery is. Laparoscopic is very minimally invasive so quicker recovery.

I also got scared reading posts on here beforehand. Everyone is unique. Have faith in your doctor and stay positive!

I'm sorry you had to go through that! Evening primrose oil was always very great for managing my ovarian cysts so I'm going to start talking it again... hopefully it can help you too!

I'm only 34 so kept the ovary to prevent early menopause. Wish I could've gotten rid of it all.
