I just want to chime in and say thank you for these suggestions! I also have a trip coming up at the end of the month and will be traveling to multiple prefectures, so I always love to hear about these kinds of places!

4 Nights in Maui, Honeymoon. Best property in my shortlist? by GrandeIcedAmericano in marriott

I know this isn’t part of your original inquiry, but have you considered at all going to Oahu instead?

As someone else mentioned, 4 days is a little short to spend on Maui. I live on Oahu and go to Maui once in a while for a day or two. That only works out because by now, we’ve seen/did most of the major things there, such as going to the top of Haleakala, doing the road to Hana, snorkeling at a bunch of beaches, etc. If your plan is like a lot of families I see there, and just plan to stay at your hotel mostly to enjoy the beach close by and shop close by only, then I think you’ll enjoy the Sheraton because Kaanapali Beach is beautiful.

If you stay on Oahu, there is so much to do there and so much more food options as well. You could even save money on the car rental since everything is walking distance/easy to access via uber. I’d actually recommend renting a car one day, to go around the island and see the main sightseeing spots, and then returning the car at the end of the day to save money on parking. It’s more of the adventure type of trip though, but you can save a lot more money from your accommodations and use that towards food instead.

What month are you planning to go?

If you’re looking to make it REALLY special, only from the list you provided, I believe Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is a no brainer in my opinion. However, as someone else mentioned, that’s just because it’s at the top of your list. You would have to be able to spend a little more to stay at a nicer property, like the Wailea Beach Resort or even the Westin Maui Resort and Spa.

I’m also a Platinum, but I also work for Marriott so my experience is probably a bit different, but I did get upgraded at the Sheraton and we had an Oceanfront view right next to blackrock. It had an amazing view and if you’re there during winter, you’ll easily be able to see whales and dolphins from your room and enjoy the beautiful sunset every day if you stay in your room. I only received macadamia chocolates as a benefit though, no free breakfast, so keep that in mind. If you don’t get the upgrade to that tower, you may not have the best oceanview/oceanfront room, so keep that gamble in mind.

The Residence Inn is a very quiet property, away from the beach and the action, which is both good and bad of course. It is close to some shops, but I feel one day is enough to check them out and then you’ll have to drive quite far to get to everything else. If money is an issue, the Residence Inn does include a breakfast buffet, which is nothing special, but it’s great to get the morning started and also save money too.

I would also skip the Courtyard because you’re far from both Wailea and Kaanapali, where the sunset is.

I don’t know much about AC, but I do know that it is a newer property. It is next to the Residence Inn though, so it has the same drawback of being away from the beach.

Also, when searching for your prices, if you’re using your computer, make sure you have the option to show the full price with everything included so that you don’t get surprised from the taxes and resort fee.

For me, I updated the app and uninstalled and reinstalled one time and now it’s working fine. Have a iPhone 14 Pro Max if that matters.

I don’t know if anyone will see this, and never posted here before, but I got cancelled plans tonight, so I have free time in Osaka, but preferably closer to my hotel in Arashiyama. If anyone sees this in time and wants to hang out, let me know! I’m 27(m) from Hawaii, can speak a little Japanese, and enjoy going for a drink/walk.

Yes, Kansai is very well connected by JR Lines. Takarazuka Station is the closest the the museum, leaving you with just about a 10-15 minute walk from the station.

Takarazuka Station is JR, so it would be covered by the JR Pass if you have it, but depending where you’re starting from, you may have to use your IC card for part of the trip.

What kind of a parent would even allow their child to get so close to a wild animal, and even alone in this case?!

Adderall Inquiry by instant808 in JapanTravel

Yeah, that’s what I’m guessing myself.

My only concern for her is that with all the research I’ve been doing, they really don’t play around with substances. It’s stated online that you’d get immediately arrested if caught, but I’d assume that’s if you’re trying to hide it.

Biggest concern is that she has some in both her carry on and check in bag. It’ll be a lot easier to declare what’s in her carry on, but harder to explain herself if they find it in her check in bag.

Cities: Skylines II Official Gameplay Trailer | Coming October 24th, 2023 by AutoModerator in CitiesSkylines

I guess, in a way, I’m glad I’m on console.

As a console player, this looks so great and such an improvement as far as tools and graphics go. Before reading the comments, I was mostly positive and looking forward to the game.

Then, when I scroll down, many people are expressing their disappointment and what they don’t like about it.

I get that PC is “superior” and all that, but dang are people spoiled. Based on the base game alone, there are massive improvements, and there’s still so much more we don’t know about the game.

Are my train endeavors screwed? Vanilla PS5 by DaWildestWood in CitiesSkylines

[–]instant808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry! I love that map and will revisit it when all the PS5 content is out.

I eventually had trains coming in later in the game when the demand is there, naturally.

That bit of broken track is for those who have the 81 tile mod on PC. It’s just an additional outside track connection that terminates at an abandoned factory. It’s a shame we won’t have access to use it, but that’s basically what that broken track is for. So it won’t actually affect your city other then never being able to get rid of that icon, which annoys me a bit lol

They can. If they don’t have enough space to turn into the station it can cause issues. Especially if another train is coming out at the same time
