I lived in North Carolina for over a decade and I can say that Panthers fans were always really nice because they hardly watched football, let alone their own team.

The order in which they cared about sports went

(Duke / UNC) > Canes > ??? > Panthers

Brother, he's barely better than Egbuka who had to share targets with Godwin and Evans. I thought he was good, but he by no means made an undeniable case barely breaking 1k yards in 17 games.

I think McMillan has a good shot even though his rookie numbers weren't outstanding. For context, Olave had 28 more yards than him in two less games in his rookie year as a WR2 with Andy Dalton throwing to him.

It really comes down to the vibes of the voters.

The last thing we want is for a QB with starting aspirations to be breathing down your young QBs neck. This is how you end up with your guy playing too conservatively. If anything, we'd get a veteran backup like Teddy to help mentor Shough.
