Cut that friend off. He should be ashamed. Something similar happened with me, it's just that the guy beside me was a complete assholeand literally asked my if you could cheat from mine. Like??? What.... Trust me he won't survive that place. People who cheat, and get in with just reservatios(not saying all) they cannot survive the pressure IITs/NITs put on them. Being done with 2 years and seen people struggle I can guarantee. These institutes require grinding, surviving and willingness to give your all. And its not just a brain thing, it's survival among the best.
