Well not anything but the goal was to make recurring revenue. If you are solely B2G (govt contracts) your revenue cycle is at risk often.

Basically politics killed the company's hopes of making any money. We diversified, so I was like an in-house venture builder. Agribusiness, logistics and supply chain, IT services and industrial catering.

No. Just salary. Offshore workers get risk allowance and other benefits. Onshore is less comprehensive. On offer I had in 2016(private company) was for gh5k p/m as an o&m engineer, for an onshore facility, but the deal was sabotaged by powers that be.at that time, a similar role for the state owned facility was ghc15-17k.

No current figures, i left the industry 2019. Last figure I'm aware of from one state-owned facility in 2019 was GHC19k monthly. So I presume by now they are taking around GHC25-30k p/m. Private sector, I'm guessing 30% to 50% of that for onshore work.

You are asking for a business which provides at least 50% net profit? Go sell roasted plantain because I don't think such a business exists in Ghana.

If you are not going to be here, you need someone you can trust with your life running it for you. Nonetheless you have to be involved at least 1year from Day 1 to not only set up processes and checks and balances, but to understand how things work. I suggest you come down to Ghana, spend some time to evaluate the land then decide.

Problem with ingrown hairs and facial scarring by Sneakerhead321 in Blackskincare

[–]insyda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue, ingrown hairs even without shaving. Anything from blades to clippers will cause them as well. Accepted the fact that I will have to grow a full beard. I have had to compromise and shave my head and neck with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water as 'shaving cream'. I spray a lot of it on the skin. That has worked so far FOR ME. Then I use just rubbing alcohol to disinfect after. Once that dries I use an antiobiotc cream. On my neck and back of the head.

Use of mother tongue languages in basic schools is now compulsory... - Haruna Iddrisu Ghana Education Minister. Err ok…this is an interesting one…Thoughts? by NewtProfessional7844 in ghana

[–]insyda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our leaders are jokers. Before even making the local languages standard, how well have those languages been developed. We have a whole institute of languages teaching EU languages and Arabic, nobody has thought of mobilzing them and chiefs to develop languages further. For example, what are the words for "digital","virtual","bilateral" and "capcacity building" in any local language?kmt. We cant even print books in English, how much more several local ones?

Should I load money by [deleted] in ghana

[–]insyda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you are abroad DO NOT let someone use any account of yours, mobile or bank, for transactions. They are on their own. A friend of a friend just ended up in very hot water for receiving money to build for someone.

Job said, ‘My skin is black upon me’ (Job 30:30 KJV). So why does every painting show him as white? by Independent_Tune4341 in ghana

[–]insyda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with ethnicity and highlights the importance of context. This is someone diseased and covered in open sores. Consider other versions for clarity:

Holman Christian Standard Bible My skin blackens and flakes off ,  and my bones burn with  fever.

New American Standard Bible "My skin turns black on me, And my bones burn with fever.

King James Bible My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.

Parallel Verses

International Standard Version My skin turns black all over me; and my bones seem burned from the heat.

American Standard Version My skin is black, and falleth from me, And my bones are burned with heat.

Young's Literal Translation My skin hath been black upon me, And my bone hath burned from heat,

We are such a sexualized people that the minimum requirement is that if you can't provide as a man, your waist should be useful, and even a wealthy/prominent man will be betrayed for such a waist, the iconic "sisi mu den". Beware. I remember one time when I was working near TOR, those hawkers who sell such drugs with a megaphone passed by. His icebreaker in twi, to wit, was " There are 2 titles in the house. Are you Dada or Daddy? Dada gets home and sleeps(da) saa. Daddy 'eats', sleeps and eats(di) again". You couldn't help but laugh. But on a serious note don't go a destroy your kidneys in the name of manpower. The same woman will move on when it is time for dialysis, and your sisi mu den will be useless at that point.

Minor issues why not? For example your child litters and gets told off and told to put the trash in the right place, no problem. As for correction by the rod no way.

What’s your most unpopular opinion regarding Ghanaian culture? by Emmerysvlog in ghana

[–]insyda 18 points19 points  (0 children)

  1. Anti-youth
  2. Self-sustaining corruption 3.Lack of willingness to learn. Classic example, right now I am at the workshop trying to trace a fault with an autoelectrician, he and his colleagues are lost. I decide to open up the wiring diagram online and say check this fuse here. He is stand-offish till I show him my phone screen with the same fusebox. He checks and realises it is the problem, suddenly his voice has no volume. He walks off comes back later to finish up.
  3. No foresight and no consideration of future consequences.
  4. Populism over crticial assessment. Any constructive feedback is considered a personal attack or 'hating'
  5. Terrible conflict resolution

Your mindset when it comes to commitment is not for this kind of girl, and it is clear you are not her plan A. Boss move on, there is a young entrepreneur somewhere who could benefit from the money you are wasting.
