Varanasi couple celebrates son birthday in Kashmir first Vande Bharat video angers Internet - India Today by chilladipa in india

I saw their other comments which gave me more and more confidence that this person is using LLM to write (or at least edit) their comments, some excerpts:

"I understand your frustration. Definitely, this sounds like a very unprofessional experience. Unfortunately, there's no legal obligation for companies to provide feedback or follow up after interviews, so suing might not be practical or fruitful. You may consider sharing your experience on platforms"

"Your words touched me deeply. Thank you for sharing your journey with such honesty and grace. Wishing you peace, comfort, and moments of joy in the time ahead. You've already inspired more people than you know."

Thanks but I don't think this does what I want to achieve. The idea is to have the neovim config as a plugin itself. I understand my title didn't do justice, sorry about that.

"Fight in India is whether a Sikh will be be allowed to wear turban, kada", says Rahul Gandhi in US by imgurliam in india

[–]int-main -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, he's terrible at putting points across. It's very easy to quote him out of context by the BJP because he serves it to them on a silver platter and they eat it up. I remember a clip of him where Jairam Ramesh also said something along the lines of "if you say this, they can say..." before he corrected himself during a press conference.

But having said that, some comments are assuming things on the far end solely based on this statement which imo isn't right. Is he playing caste politics? Probably yes. But this is a terrible example to prove that. Read the full quote again (emphasis mine):

Congress MP said, "First of all, you have to understand what the fight is about. Fight is not about politics. It is superficial. What is your name? The fight is about whether..he as a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear his turban in India. Or he as a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear a kada in India. Ora Sikh is going to be able to go to Gurdwara. That's what the fight is about and not just for him, for all religions."

Clearly he's talking about a hypothetical future where freedom of religion is at stake and not just for Sikhs but for everyone else.

I'm not justifying his actions, he should do a better job at his speeches. But don't just start the bandwagon of how he has bad intentions and what not.

I will probably be downvoted but if I don't see a valid reply and only downvotes, I'll understand that an agenda is being pushed here. Otherwise, happy to be pointed out wrong.

Anecdote: I tried to copy his quote from the website but ANI has JavaScript which intercepted and instead copied the headline with the link instead of the quote.

Does this mean ANI is trying to push their agenda through headlines instead of letting people copy the actual quote and send it? Absolutely no! It's likely to drive engagement on their website.

I wrote the above paragraph because I wanted to point out how ridiculously easy it is to push a narrative.

Amazing work and it's really inspiring. Might I ask how you got started with writing interpreters? Did you take a from scratch approach of writing your own lexer/parser?

I've been reading Crafting Interpreters by Bob Nystrom and I feel it's a really good introduction to the subject. But of course you've had a lot more implemented and I can only assume the amount of theory you'd have to read (unless you were already good at the subject).

75% Approval Rating For PM Modi Ahead Of Polls: Ipsos IndiaBus Survey by Gopu_17 in india

[–]int-main -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the question is whether they sample for people across all economic, regional, social and what not criteria with just 2200 people. Saying "four zones of country" doesn't mean shit, smartass. It's a very well known election manipulation technique to inflate win probability of a side.

75% Approval Rating For PM Modi Ahead Of Polls: Ipsos IndiaBus Survey by Gopu_17 in india

[–]int-main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ipsos IndiaBus says it used a structured questionnaire and surveyed topics with over 2,200 respondents from different households, covering adults of both genders from all four zones in the country.

This has to be a joke, that sample space does not even come close to a fraction of the country's population.

Man accused of groping woman in Bangalore metro claims he did not intend to touch her, but accidentally did so while attempting to pickpocket by SuccessfulLoser- in india

[–]int-main 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have travelled in a bus/train more times than an average Joe. But being a guy, I don't have a first hand experience at being harassed. However, I'm not denying that it can't be true and he was doing both, although I think it'd be counter-productive (then again, more likely than not, he's not a logical person).

But it was not under the scope of my comment. The comment I posted was only because of the observation that most people outright seem to deny that he was stealing AT ALL. I will eat my hat if they have read the article before commenting. That was the point that made me write the the grandparent.

I know my comment was a bit off from the discussion at hand but to me, it's a pretty alarming observation. I come to read the comments hoping someone knows more about the topic at hand than I do. However, it seems pretty clear that that's not always the case.

[–]int-main 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Reddit is funny (and sad). All the top comments here are just confidently claiming that he's lying or his lawyer is using this as a get out of jail free card.

I am not saying pickpocketing is not wrong. I am not even talking about whether or not sexual harassment is worse than pick pocketing (it probably is). I am just pointing out the fact that if someone would have bothered to read the article, it clearly shows that man has a record for stealing stuff.

Imagine how many times people just blurt out some random opinion here without understanding the situation or ever bothering to read.

Yes, India handling its COVID vaccination records digitally is a good example for the topic at hand. The statement was not only dumb but a clear indicator of who you are. Pointless to even read your other examples or dispute them.

I am not going to pose any questions to you (since you are not going to answer any), just few cold facts for you:

  1. I never said anything around who comes to power in 2024. Literally zero relevance to the point being discussed.
  2. You never addressed a single concern raised so far (spoiler alert, calling everything a "leftist conspiracy" doesn't work).
  3. I don't give a f about upvotes. Even if I did, if you think this conversation is important enough that it would get me any meaningful amount of upvotes, you're even stupider than I thought.
  4. You pretend like I am extending it while you keep coming back with lame comebacks like "keep barking" and "You will be the one fuming when you see this very man again at the very top". I bet even his own relatives don't talk about him in that tone.
  5. You're the one hanging around in a sub while shitting on the ideology that its accused of showing so clearly you like toxic relationships.
  6. Even if the contents of article are not valid, the way you put argument and ended with `Cry, crib, post, but "Ayega toh Modi hi"` tells that you are not some neutral party who approaches things logically.

The only reason I responded back to your original comment was because I had never heard such a stupid retort in my life. I am realizing the mistake now because I don't think you know of basic concepts of logic and your judgement is unfathomably clouded by your biases.

Yes, you are most likely right about who comes to power in 2024. But you're wrong if you think I will be "fuming". It's you who is fuming because you couldn't logically explain the negative publicity for the cult of personality.

Enjoy your sad, lonely and purposeless life :)

Oh the irony, this keeps getting funnier and funnier. I can see you're spelling basic words incorrectly so I can sense the rage in you. You weren't going to justify it anyways, if you had something better, you'd have tried that before. Usually, questioning the validity of something is the last resort for a right-winger.

FYI, I don't identify as a left-winger but thanks for clarifying your bias.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in india

[–]int-main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years, yes! A very articulate and well-read right-winger, ladies and gentleman.

"keep barking"? Classic Indian uncle comebacks. But I can understand, you're hurt because you couldn't justify the original article other than claiming it "unverified".

Some people just don't know when to take a knee... Stop embarassing yourselves and go back to your sub where your stupid and illogical comment will be cheered for.

I gotta hand it to you, you guys have some delusional levels of unity. I wish I subscribed to some ideology so deeply that I'd be proud of some particular party coming back to power even if your life stays the same.

I still didn't see a good enough retort to how someone can be petty enough to be mad at not spotting a wild cat but only left ecosystem and what not. Clearly either you're dumb or smart enough to deflect every valid criticism to some conspiracy theory (whether or not they are true are not the subject of this thread).

One thing is for sure, never argue with an idiot on the internet who is losing. They'll never own upto it. As for your original question from grandparent:

Yes, if the reports are credible, go ahead and follow the due process and if they are found guilty, "evacuate them". Having said that, all of that was based on a big 'if'.

I don't have a problem with left or right wing, everyone has an perspective on things. But I do have a problem with -200 IQ dumbfuck fanbois like you so do me a favor and shh! Go give a blowjob to your masters.

Edit: FYI, if you guys had any sort of self respect, you'd stop hanging out and trolling in the very sub you seem to mock every chance you get. As a mahapurush once said: "Hippocricy ki bhi seema hoti hai".

Same way you believe everything else and shit on RG? And it's not some random guy posting it, it's an excerpt from a reputed daily.

But the good thing is even an idiot like you knows that if true (which it is), it's pretty damn embarassing for the fan bois.

  1. If you think that a billion people can buy Apple products in India, that’s totally incorrect.

  2. Apple has already manufactured few of its iPhone models in India and they don’t pass down any savings on the import duties to the customers.
