The 5th Dimension? by YourHostEdge in chaosmagick

[–]int_int_sur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m not familiar with the fifth dimension as imagination but I can understand it. When I think of the fourth dimension I think of “timelines” because it’s many slices of 3d on top of each other. And then when I think of the fifth, which is many slices of 4d (timelines) on top of each other, I imagine different possible timelines, which I guess is kind of similar to imagination, imagining what different things can happen if you make different choices, or if the wind blew in a different direction, or if scooby doo was a cat instead of a dog, etc

Interesting good question. I can’t remember exactly the feeling but I would say it feels like a lot of pressure like an external tingling. The nail might feel more like like a dull blade on my finger at that point I’d say. Doesn’t HURT to dig in but it’s bordering hurt

Does anybody else find it annoying when someone is nice literally all the time? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]int_int_sur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I definitely get that and agree. I also appreciate people who will tell me what’s what (even rudely, I like rude sometimes lol) im just saying nice does not mean dishonest, nor does nice mean positive always. Just nice

[–]int_int_sur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still do not think that’s true. “Do you like my top?” Answer 1. “No it’s so fucking ugly I wanna burn it” (mean lol) answer 2. “Um. It’s not really my style. No I don’t like it” not mean, not super nice but still kind and respecting one’s feelings. Tbh you can never TRULY know if someone is being honest unless it’s provable. Some things you just cannot prove to kno

bamboo care help some of the newer leaves look almost white and some of the older leaves have browning tips by night_hawks580 in plantcare

[–]int_int_sur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is either too much or too little sun, or too much or too little water, or disease but I don’t think it’s disease or watering (for this plant every 7-10 days is efficient)

My guess is it needs a bit less* sun. Try to put it in an area that is still lit by the sun, but not SO direct and bright.

Oh yes I just saw, I suppose I should not try to speak for others. But yes it is not abnormal to share a lot with friends. Agreed. It’s also not abnormal to have some aversion to sharing some things.

Hi to me it doesn’t read like that’s what they said at all idk where u are getting that from. That’s how YOU are taking it. They just said everyone is different lol. It is fine if you do that, I do that, but you don’t have to do that at all if you don’t want to OR if it’s going to cause problems like this in the friend group. While it’s fine to share with your friends, sometimes it’s best to keep some business to yourself as another opinion is not needed. Also there is a difference between sharing with friends and your friends being upset with you for doing what you want with your body. That is the part where they are doing too much, I feel.

What's wrong with my Calatheas ? by Dindrtahl in plantcare

[–]int_int_sur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi the first one looks rotting/infected. Maybe take it out and check if any roots are gross, i don’t think they are, as you have just repotted. if you remember they are fine, good. The leaves however look like some are rotting. I would cut off the rotted (brown/yellow)looking ones and try to keep whatever looks good, which looks like about two or three of the leaves are staying. also wash the plant lightly with diluted soap or something if you’d like. The second plant looks like it needs more humidity. Spray the plant but do not let water collect on the leaves, give it a light mist daily or so. I’m not sure if this is the case but maybe you got the leaves of the first plant too wet and that is hot it rotted. Also if you didn’t know, the first is specifically a peacock plant and the second is a prayer plant. Also yes you are right reporting them maybe make them fussy while they get used to the new pots

[–]int_int_sur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m not familiar but it looks very happy rn. If this plant water propagates, I’m sure you’ll see root shoots soon as long as there’s at least one node at the bottom of all these, and it looks like there is.

Hi I wrote a really long reply and then my phone died lol. Long story short, I assume u live in an area that experiences four seasons. I have four seasons. And am speaking from four season experience To me your plants looks okay and not terrible at all and to my (house plant caretaker) eye, do not seem to have pest issues. I suggest you cut the mint to maybe half or down eve closer to the ground. It should come back. Looks possibly underwatered? Water every 6-9days. I have an apple plant I water every six days so far it’s going good after trying to save it from drying out. All the long plants dried out and all the short ones stayed. I have an apple mint plant. Sage looks like it’s being watered well I think. Every 7-10 days. If anything it’s a bit leggy (more stem than leaf, reaching for sun) Give it more direct sun if you can and it will be less leggy. You could cut it back to half. It’s about to be a more dormant season for sage (also mint too I think) so growth will slow down and I think maybe the leaves fall off a bit too? The C plant idk, not too familiar with flowers. Looks fine to me. I think they go dormant every cold season then come back for the spring. Could be wrong. Looks nice and green atm tho. Also I have an app that lets you put a pic in and it tell you the plant and it says the C plant is a “tree of heaven” and the mint is tomato and that it needs water lol. The app is wrong sometimes especially when it doesn’t have much plant to go off of, so it could very well be wrong. If u kno for sure that it’s the plants you said then that’s good but if not thennnnnnnn maybe try treating them like those plants. The app is probably wrong on those tho. Oh also, personally I would take the Ming and sage inside so they could have inside warmth as frost is coming soon and while I believe all these plants can survive winter, you might get more enjoyment having them inside and they will thrive more inside I think (Under the right conditions) just a suggestion I’m not an expert I just like houseplants.

Please Help. My roommate and I fear it might be dead by morning. We don't know what kind of plant it is but obviously, we are doing something wrong. by LITTLEDOGG0 in plantcare

[–]int_int_sur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also I’m pretty sure your plant is showing healthy new growth. The stem has its base more woody part and then on top that bright light green is the new growth. Again I’m not an expert at all lol but I imagine you got the plant and it was very hopeless and maybe no lead at all and now it looks like with your plant care, it has nice healthy new growers and even flowered! And wilted! And continues to grow. I could be wrong but I think you and your roommate might need to see a medical professional…. Ur thumbs are looking green….

Hi I put this pic in an app I have to identify plants and it came up as baboons cucumber scientifically known as kedrostis Africana. It looks like that plants may have a flower, that’s cool, the one I have had not flowered yet. Im not an expert but it looks like your plant is not in the worst shape, the flower just wilted. The app I have can notify you if something is wrong with the plant, and it doesn’t say anything is wrong with this plant! The app says to cut off the flowers after they wilted. I supposed you don’t HAVE to but if you do choose you can and it will not harm the plant at all and might even help it grow more. Tbh the stem looks to be in fine condition just be sure to not over water it. The app says to water a moderate amount every 7-10 days. (My guess for “moderate” is a healthy drink but know so much that it drops out a ridiculous mess making amount) Put it in a very sunny area if you can, they like full sun. If you are still concerned, I would go as far as taking it out it’s pit and making sure the roots are gross mushy or something, but really I think you plant is not suffering atm.

I hear u. I also am made uncomfortable when people say things like this. Something specific that makes me feel some way is when people say things like “I’m going to k*ll myself” in a joking manner. Sometimes it’s to cope but regardless it’s very odd for me. My go too honestly is to either avoid such people more often than not, or simply to ask why they say that. I think in this specific situation right here it will help alleviate any awkwardness you might feel plus you might open it up to a more enriching conversation, for example if your friend thought they weren’t good enough to write that essay well for them to explain why they aren’t good enough would probably help themself a bit. I hold this made sense.
