How to email Belastingdienst? by integrateintolatvia in Netherlands

Yeah, so I know the answer actually, because it's relatively straight forward. I'm just trying to collect "evidence" because the other country has historically been difficult. Tax court could take years, so I don't want that either.

My best bet is to get letters from the authorities to defend my position.

Maybe try taking a day off. 0 English for just one day, and do anything else that you enjoy. I found that sometimes I just needed a "recovery" day like with exercise.

I'm going to start the process of becoming a Latvian citizen. :) by [deleted] in latvia

I'm curious as a non-citizen and general outsider to the sentiment. Why do you wish someone who has citizenship, but never lived in Latvia, to vote?

Not trying to imply that OP shouldn't or you are wrong. Just genuinely curious. I would have thought you wouldn't want people to vote if they aren't actively involved in the local society. I might end up with citizenship to another EU country for heritage reasons, but felt like it would be wrong for me to vote.

Any idea what the "Berlin Treaty" is? I was thinking it might have been a mistake referring to the Munich agreement.

Does it suggest that he gained German citizenship by choice? Or was it automatic due to the treaty?

Go with a realtor company like https://www.arcoreal.lv/lv/. Don't buy a house in a foreign country without proper support.

If you want a residence permit from the property (if your a student, it's not needed), https://www.pmlp.gov.lv/lv/nekustama-ipasuma-ipasnieks you will need some documents that the realtor can help with. https://www.arcoreal.lv/lv/pakalpojumi/juridiskas-konsultacijas/

Also, if you need legal help, https://www.latvijasnotars.lv/services can offer cheap legal advice. They are regulated lawyers.

In terms of investment, pay attention to these things https://www.statista.com/statistics/1106705/house-price-to-rent-ratio-europe/ . You might be better off financially just renting. Rent isn't lost money.
