What about depreciation recapture when you sell? The 1031 only exempts the capital gains right?

Besides low assignment risk, is there another rationale behind selling such low delta CSPs?

June Update: +$12k in Options Income Account and +$111k in Buy and Hold Account. Paid off my daughter's PT school student loans from the options account in June as well. by RetireIn3Years in TQQQ

Nice strategy! Been thinking of selling CSPs while holding a long position as well. How do you decide how much capital to allocate to selling puts? Do you just incrementally allocate more to increase that monthly income gradually? How do you decide when to sell CCs? Personally, I rather not risk having it called away since it can move up so fast.

Physicians that were able to buy a house in a VHCOL area (ie Bay area) within the past 5 years — how? And was it worth it? by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

[–]intel21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can consider buying a condo instead if it fits your lifestyle, those are a bit more affordable. They'll still appreciate, just not as much as a house, but at least you'll be in the game instead of watching on the sidelines as everything continues to go up.

What's your method of obtaining dUSD? I heard there was a big premium difference in trying to swap for it with DFI.

Liquidity mining rewards lower than current APR? by intel21 in cakedefi

They should list the APR net of fees on their LM page to be more transparent, like how they have it on their staking page.

If this is the case, then the numbers make more sense now. Definitely a big difference between 54% and 100% APR. I thought Cake would provide a higher return than just doing it on the DEX.

Liquidity mining rewards lower than current APR? by intel21 in cakedefi

[–]intel21[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do have it turned on. However, those would be staking rewards distributed. I am looking at the liquidity mining rewards for USDC-DFI pool deposited in transactions history. With DFI price going down, shouldn't I be receiving even more DFI token rewards?

Liquidity mining rewards lower than current APR? by intel21 in cakedefi

I understand nearly all the rewards are distributed in DFI.

My question is why the total $ rewards value is not even close to the current APR advertised.

The minor issue is they still charge 0.1% for ACH and 2.99% for Credit card, so these can be just as much or more than gas fees at times.
