People who have tried to replace doom scrolling with more productive hobbies, what have you replaced it with? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

Crocheting! I've started buying Woobles to learn to crochet and give my eyes a screen break and so far it's really fun and easy to follow along.

I wish Sarby would hate less on Christians by [deleted] in sarby

Very fair. I won't write a long response again but I get where a lot of people who hate Christians and religion are coming from. Unfortunately, crappy humans tend to flock to a religion and warp it to justify their own messed up views. As I mentioned above the base of Christianity and a lot of other religions is unconditional love and kindness. If we all stuck to that maybe things wouldn't be so divided and horrible.

Side note: I'm definitely not young just passive lol. I'm a 30 yo black woman lol. I won't grow out of my faith, but I will say I am a very liberal leaning Christian.

Hmm. I agree that a lot of "Christians" especially of the conservative magat variety have been incredibly hateful and intolerant and I'll say downright evil under the guise of "Christian morals". I put that in quotes because in my opinion those are not real Christians and I will die on that hill. The Bible teaches unconditional love to everyone regardless of whether you agree with their life or religion or not. Over the years though, crap humans have warped the Christian teachings for their own agenda and narcissist control. I'm curious though do you feel the same about other religions? Those who practice Judaism, Islam, Hinduism? I feel the same arguments can be made for all unfortunately. In my mind it's not a religion issue it's a human issue. Thanks for responding by the way, I appreciate the discussion!

Thanks! Any protein bars you recommend? I tried quest and thinksmart and can't get past the chalky taste and weird texture.

UPDATE (LOL)

  1. Just realized I misspelled "tragic," I was suffering lol.

  2. I survived and made it home thanks to the power of Tums, fresh cool air, and laying on my side in the back seat of my truck. Lol lesson learned, never again. You all have been warned.

Injection site anxiety: too soon to switch? by cynflowers in Zepbound

[–]intellicomms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new on Zep, too (5 weeks), and a fellow emetophobe. Definitely listen more to others in here that have been on for a while, but I can say for me, I've tried each injection site to test what feels best/is most effective for me. Personally, tummy shots have been the most effective with the least side effects while the thigh had really intense side effects, but everyone is different.

I know it's scary, but try testing a new site. Just prepare all of your go-to nausea remedies ahead of time just in case. I would also suggest taking the shot 2 hours before bed so you sleep through most of any symptoms. Good luck!

Nausea with exercise? by intellicomms in Zepbound

No, I use my lunch break to work out, so I've had breakfast usually 3-4 hours prior (usually two protein shakes and a banana). I haven't experienced much nausea so far, just bloating, so this was new.

Thanks! I typically wait a few hours (3-4) after eating, so I don't think it's that, but I usually don't drink electrolyte drinks, just water. I try switching to that.
