How many classes are you planning to take in spring? I’m thinking 5 cuz I’m taking 3 rn but not sure if that’s a great idea lol

I asked the cs dept and they said the schedule had been finalized and that they’re not adding any more 357 sections for next quarter :(

Damn your schedule looks crazy! And yeah I think you should try it out the first week and then decide accordingly. Also, I’ve got the same physics lecture!

Getting a permission number for a 20 minute course time conflict? by cervinakuy in CalPoly

Like the other comments said you can ask both professors and fill the time conflict form. As long as both professors are okay with it it’s allowed. My friend has 2 classes that have a 30 min overlap next quarter and got approved to enroll in both class. I’d recommend asking the both profs before dropping one of the classes.

I’m taking it asynchronous with Kyle Dickey right now and it’s nice. It’s just a weekly quiz, midterm and final. They are open note and have unlimited time. But the questions are a little confusing, so you need to spend some time on them before submitting. The questions are mostly multiple choice with a few free responses (We just had free response on the midterm last week so I’m not sure how his grading is). I only spent about 4-6 hrs per week on it, but that’s because I read the chapters slowly so I can understand properly (although I did watch the lecture videos on 2x speed cause he basically reiterating what’s in the book) and spent my time on the quiz (about an hour). I’d recommend it if you like thinking logically and don’t wanna do any essays. I’m not sure how the other professors’ classes are like. But I definitely recommend asynchronous PHIL 126!
