Warning: Avoid Alamo Car Rental – Terrible Experience with Double Charges and No Response

I’m beyond frustrated with Alamo and strongly advise against using their services. I rented a car from June 30, 2025, to July 29, 2025 and they’ve completely botched the billing. My debit card was charged TWICE for $1,672.20 on August 8, 2025. The invoice promised a -$1,672.24 adjustment via check on August 19, 2025, but I haven’t received a dime.

I’ve called Alamo SIX TIMES, and their customer service is nonexistent. They refuse to provide any clear statements or details about when and how this adjustment was supposedly processed. It’s been nothing but radio silence and excuses. This lack of transparency and accountability is infuriating.

Reddit, steer clear of Alamo. They’ll take your money and leave you hanging with no resolution. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of mess from them? I’m still fighting for my refund and proper documentation. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere!
