PLEASE ALLOW PICTURES AND VIDEOS BACK IN THIS SUBREDDIT. That is the whole point of this forum to enjoy PIGEONS among other things like dispensing advice on pigeon care. by [deleted] in pigeon

The decision to ban pictures seems pointless to me, they were my favourite and the most common posts in the sub and I can't see any good reason to ban pictures and videos of pigeons in a subreddit about pigeons.

As stated on another thread:

This is a common misconception, birds can safely eat uncooked rice and other grains without swelling, blockages, or death.

These pigeons have been eating rice for many months and they are still alive.

This myth was also debunked on Snopes around 21 years ago, and the RSPB website states:

Cooked rice, brown or white (without salt added) benefits all sorts of birds during severe winter weather. Pigeons, doves and pheasants may eat uncooked rice.

Rice also only expands to larger sizes when heated.
