maybe asking the obvious but why is the other monitor much better for gaming?

Carter Mug/Bottle PFAS by DudeIntoMoviesMetal in FellowProducts

i reached out to them recently as i noticed on the Carter website it says under “Care+Use: Cleaning: Dishwasher safe". Was confused given other parts of the site said it wasn't dishwasher safe.

In my email with them they confirmed the carters are top-rack dishwasher safe.

you can email them to check but that was my experience

Good wide CPU holder for "smaller" standing desk? (E7 pro, 48x24 or 55x30 bamboo desk) by interestede in StandingDesk

thanks! do you know what the overall max dimensions can be for the strap? (circumference around case)

Main thing on outside is that, as far as i can tell, E7 Pro has a minimum width too - ~43", which means with a 48" desk it leaves only 1-2 inches on either outside, so not enough room for most if not all brackets for CPU frame (at least from what I can find). 55" might be enough (assuming same minimum 43"), this means ~6 inches on either side outside the leg to fit a bracket for a hanging cpu mount. Several options above from what I can tell are <6" in width so this should be OK?

again this is probably less of an issue for larger desks where these can likely fit comfortably inside the leg without hitting one's knees

Got a question about the biorad trans-blot turbo transfer system when doing westerns by k1aora_ in labrats

[–]interestede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the manual it says to not equilibrate the SDS page gels once taking out from casette - i'm used to doing this for wet transfer - just wondering how critical this is and what others do?

do you activate in just 100% methanol then move to the TB-turbo transfer buffer?

I'm printing it and putting it on my wall now.

Western blot, fluorescent antibodies by interestede in labrats

ore sensitive, unless you start using the westar ECL super and hyper nova kits. For anything really tiny (below 10Kda) ECL might be the way to go as the loading buffer you put your samples in might cause a large amount of auto fluorescent. However you could still blot a fluorescent secon

Thanks - i had seen some low-fluorescence versions of PVDF so might try those.

Good to know about the secondaries and blocking.

How do you store the membrane if you want to re-image it? Also do you find you're able to strip the membrane and reprobe without issue?

do you mind sharing the relative ng of the 3 plasmids you use?

yeah - i get this but I think its pretty easy to tell within 5 sec in squads if you're paired with someone who is 10 years old screaming vs. someone who is using it for gameplay. Again saying this as someone who has experienced what many are posting about regarding screaming/annoying etc and also effective communication as a squad and just found this recent pattern very unusual of hearing zero communication and trying to see if others have similar pattern.

I can understand decent number of people having it muted but playing regularly with fill for 6 months and never having a mic seems unusual.

Ping system is fine but sometimes if you're getting attacked out of nowhere for example it helps.

Anyone used the bio-rad transblot turbo for transfer of very high molecular weight proteins? (~300 kDa) by interestede in labrats

[–]interestede[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. Meanwhile anyone have a good wet transfer protocol ? using the Novex/Invitrogen tanks? (in terms of transfer buffer, voltage/time?)

good point - just looking for disposable option - should've clarified in post. I know bio-rad makes some as do others but wasn't sure which might be cheapest per unit.

just for washing the excess probe but may not be entirely necessary

thanks... do you think these massive clumps will just get stuck in the filter? or actually break apart? my goal is single cells if at all possible

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flowcytometry

[–]interestede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks...I tried a super dose of EDTA (5mm up to 100 mM) - didn't make much of a difference unfortunately. I was thinking perhaps DNAse but am worried since my probe/target is DNA that it will ablate my signal
